Is there a ride you refuse to go on?

They aren't barf shields, they are scream shields, to comply with City of Anaheim noise abatement rules.

There's nothing I *won't* ride, though there's several that don't really do much for me - more of a payoff isn't worth the wait thing, though. I like ToT and Maliboomer and the Swinging Cars on the Sun Wheel. :-)
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Whoops! Always thought they were barf sheilds!!! Still won't go on it though!!! Forgot to mention Tea Cups. Use to love them as a girl, but as life goes on the stomach takes a dive. Ugh!!!!

I wouldn't say there are rides are won't go on.. but rides that I'm ok skipping on repeat visits. I did everything at least once.. most rides I LOVE!!!

A few I just can't go on again.
I'm allergic to whatever they put in the water at GRR, everytime I have gone on the ride I have broke out in a rash.:guilty: My kids are old enough now that they can ride by themsleves .. I feel bad that I can't enjoy the experience with them. I love the ride, don't like the itchy aftereffects.

I don't particularly like Mailboomer but if DH convinces me maybe I will give it another try.

Same thing with the swinging gondolas, made me nervous.. but if I'm in the mood to be thrilled.. and the line isn't an hour long!.. I will go again if the family wants to go.

I went on It's tough to be a bug on my last family trip.. hated it the first time and avoided it for years.. hubby convinced me we should go since BIL had never goen before.. It wasn't as bad this time around. And I enjoyed the experience.

We skip ones that don't have good repeat value.. Mulhulland Madness (boys do single rider, too squishy for hubby and I ), Honey I shrunk the kids (yawn), Golden Dreams (yawn...only if we are tired and hot.. good place to relax), Lincoln (once a trip only, gladly wil go back when it returns to see if they changed anything).

There were only 2 rides i wouldnt do at DL and DCA-teacups (hate spinning) and the sunwheel....i did tower of terror 3 or 4 times, and realized i HATED it so much i didnt go back on the last day or two BUT my kids forced me to try the mailboomer...i refused first day and told them i would try it once the second day just to make them be quiet...i must have rode it 12-15 times in the next few days.....so for me, hate TOT and have a love/hate with the mailboomer....would ride it again right now but cant tell u the same about TOT on our next visit...

DL-MAY 06-first time at DL for DH and kids , and my 9th(but the first 8 were all by the time i was about 13) so it was all new to me
:cool1: Planning our trip for this fall-me and youngest dd want DL and DH and older two kids want mexico....mexico may win, but my youngest has decided that just me and her could do disneyland :thumbsup2 (haha, that would go over well)
PLANNING GRAD TRIP FOR MY DD IN MAY 2009-I CANT WAIT(WHOLE FAMILY WILL GO, ALONG WITH OUR NIECE-HER BEST FRIEND AND WILL GET THEM THEIR OWN ROOM).....

The teacup ride.

I spent the rest of the day dizzy and sick and I wanted to go home! It finally passed, but NEVER AGAIN. My family never lets me forget this! They still get a good laugh....

DONT SPIN THE CUPS!

Absolutely no teacups. Spinning makes me sick. Blech.

I have been Tower of Terror and Maliboomer once and they scared the living daylights out of me. Even Soarin' scared me because I kept thinking I was going to fall. But I am going to go on them again. Because I am at DLR. The Happiest Place on Earth. Period. :earboy2:

Now, does anyone have any advice on riding Star Tours? I got queasy the last time and I am wondering if where you sit makes a difference.

Also, I haven't been on Space Mountain since I was a kid. How green am I going to get?

My wife does not want to go on the Columbia again, last time the Mark Twain was stuck in dock and we waited for 20 minutes, then the captain overshot the dock and had to back up...

Me, I could do without Small World but I go anyway.

For Star Tours, ask the CM to seat you as close to the center (middle row, middle seat) as possible - that's where there's the least motion. My father-in-law says that he looks at the floor when the motion starts to get to him.

Space Mountain doesn't do any spinning - mostly it's just fast and smooth, though there's a series of tight turns at the end that might aggravate motion sickness in some people. It's a lot easier ride than the Matterhorn! That jerks you around all over the place.

Dumbo...just not my thing. Darn near anything else, the faster, the higher, the better.

Been on all rides at Disneyland and Disney California LOVED them all. Love the tower of terror. I was on Tower of Terror with my husband and we were 6 older ladies and they were all in their 70's they were on there 7 concecutive ride on Tower of Terror... I thought that was wonderful. They were having a great time.

You are a good husband! I love IASW. My husband says he isn't going on it next trip but I am pretty confident that I will win this one. :rolleyes1

He'll do it.

And then the boat will get backed up before it gets to dock.

And he will glare at you as you sing along in LATIN.

Then he will vow to never ride it again, but he will, cause of these two:

Okay, so that's what happened to me, but you get the idea :) BTW, the pic above was taken while we were stuck on the Columbia, this was before the Mark Twain decided to take a break, which is why they are smiling!

Sorry for the hi-jack, back to your regularly scheduled thread!

The sun wheel scared teh poop out of us last year. Definatly will not do that one again. I had thoughts of our gondalah plunging in the water and us locked in the cage. Of course my 3 year olds loved it, they were laughing at my husband and I.
