Is there a reason to join EA if you are renting an SUV?

It occurred to me as i have been checking codes etc... that we have always used our EA membership to rent intermediate cars. I am working with a friend, who will be going to WDW in a few weeks, on car rentals. We have an SUV rented for she and her family, is there a reason for them to join EA?

Never gave it any thought til i was reading EA benefits. Thanks. Caroline

They can skip the counter is the biggest reason for Emerald Club. You can only use quick rent if you don't have a coupon. Plus you can earn points toward free days (if you go often). It's free, there's really no drawback.

The best reason to join any of the rental car loyalty programs, IMO, is to avoid the whole insurance hard sell. You set up your profile preferences re: insurance, etc. when you register, and they don't ask you again.

Also, if you join, your spouse is a free second driver.

Thanks- they do have a coupon and a contract - so off they go!! Having done this so many times for ourselves and getting an Intermediate- i never stopped to think if the rule is the same for larger cars.
I agree- skipping the counter is the best!!!! :thumbsup2 Caroline

I know there have probably been 100's of posts about this, but I was wondering if someone could explain the EA. I was trying to search through old threads, but I'm way too tired and not really focusing - my laziness becomes your burdeon! I would appreciate it though. We are in the club and I have an SUV and full-size vehicles reserved for Oct...just wondering how the whole thing works.

:thanks:
