One of the upcoming changes to the plans, from what I understand, is adding a 'quick service" plan. So, if you do not want to dine at sit-down restaurants and prefer to get your meals from the counter service eateries, you can purchase this plan rather than the current plans. (currently dining and the deluxe dining). The biggest advantage of this would be you are, once again, totally paid in full before arriving . . . the old dining plan (before 2008) included gratuities, but they are no longer included. With the quick service plan, you wont need to leave gratuities. If you like to do charachter meals and/or table service restaurants, it's probably not a good deal because you will have paid for a meal that you will not eat, and will pay for an additional meal (or however many) outside of the plan you purchased.

From what I understand, it will include 2 snacks and 2 counter service meals per person, per night. I seem to remember seeing that it would also included the refillable mugs, but I may be wrong about that. The details should all be on the disney website.

Does anyone know if the quick service dining plan can be used at all counter service locations or just specific ones? Thanks in advance, I'm new to using a dining plan. Our previous trips we paid out of pocket.

it's accepted at all Disney CS locations... the only place i can think of off the top of my head that doesn't take it is the pizza winddow at spoodles...

Sorry to disagree here, but I don't think you can use the quick dining plan at ANY quick dining location. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but just like with the table services meals, there are only certain places you can use it. Although, I think there are more options for the quick service vs. the table service. Here's a link of the participating restaurants as of now:

The quick service locations are on the left side. Hope this helps! We are doing the basic dining plan in January, and considered the quick service plan instead to try and save $, but we wanted to do a few shows, so that was out for us. Have a fun trip!
