We have had a garden view which was beautiful because it was also a view of the river. We have also had a preferred view (parking lot) when in fact the view was not bad at all. It was a view of the front of the resort and the lake with the fountain.
Boardwalk is all lock offs (or mostly lock offs), so the studios will be every other room...ie. 1bedroom-studio or studio-1 bedroom throughout most of the resort. If you have a boardwalk view, then that will be your view...guaranteed.
Boardwalk actually has a lot of dedicated studios. All 2BRs are lock-offs and thus can be 2BR or 1BR and studio potentially providing another large number of studios. Studios both dedicated and lock-off are located throughout although dedicateds tend to be clustered fairly near to each other in some areas--for example all dedicated studios with boardwalk view run from over the main store to just before Big River Grill begins and everything over Big River on down to just before Jellyrolls begins are 2BR lock-offs except for 1BR dedicateds right at the end.
