Is there a notice period before a price increase?

DH and I have decided to purchase AP's for our family on our upcoming trip in Dec. If there were going to be a price increase in AP's, would there be information/notice of that before it happens? If so, would we be able to purchase online before that and then activate when there in Dec?

historically AP prices go up in october and regular tickets jan/feb. I don't think it's ever deviated from that. they do not give notice, suddenly it's just more money. (regular tickets the resellers tend to have insight but they don't sell aps)

I see that FL res AP (that is what we'd be getting) was increased in Feb of 15. I see the typical increases are in Feb or Oct. I think I will plan to buy at the end of Sept to try and avoid an increase.

October 1st is usually when prices seem to go up. At least that's when they changed the tiers last year

Thanks! I'll get at the end of Sept, just to be safe. Was going to buy mid October anyway, so what's a few weeks difference?

If you are concerned about a price increase why wait until the fall...the pass only activates when you first use it...buy it now and then you won't be concerned about missing the price increase date.

If you're looking at this board, you'll get somewhat of a hint at a heads up. For other people that don't look at the forum, they just wake up one day at see prices changed. Disney doesn't release statements about exact dates of price changes
