We have switched our plans around which means having to change almost every dining reservation. I've spent a lot of time on the Cancellation threads and had many successful transfers both directions. However, in the last two days I've had two reservations swiped even though we were communicating instantaneously through pm and appeared to have a perfectly coordinated transfer. Yesterday, the reservation popped up in my search, but in the tenth of a second that it took me to click, it was already gone. Today's never appeared at all. I have tried changing how I search, party size, etc. The only reservation I have successfully transferred in the last two days was CRT, which requires a credit card payment in full and was swapped without any problems.
I have three possible scenarios:
1) Someone else has impeccable timing to be searching at that exact time for the same party size and restaurant. Twice.
2) The restaurants have been overbooked, so nothing actually became available when the reservations were cancelled.
3) There is a new bot on the loose booking reservations--not just the type notifying people that it is available, but actually taking the reservation. (Feel free to pm me if you have the website so I can get my reservations back! Just kidding... kind of
)
Anyone else have recent experiences or insight to what might be going on?
