Is there a mad rush to get off the ship in Nassau?

Just wondering if we should take our sweet time getting off the ship in Nassau in order to miss the rush. We have reservations at The Comfort Suites so we can use the Atlantis pools and slides and would really like to get our bands squared away. We are also on a time limit as our 1 year old will be at Flounder's Reef so we can do the pools and casino without him. (still not 100% positive that Flounder's is open in the moring~anyone know for sure?) :sunny:

believe me, no mad rush to debark at Nassau....

I also don't remember there being a mad rush. If I'm not mistaken, I think they try and do it by groups. I know we had the Dolphin Encounter excursion booked, so we all had to meet up at a certain place, and then left the boat at the same time, and I think all of the excursions are the same. I'm not sure about those who don't have excursions to do, but I wouldn't think that there would be a rush.

Everyone who has booked a disney excursion has a designated meeting place and time..so they get their paperwork together and all leave at the same time. Everyone who is just going to play leaves when they want to. No problems getting off the ship.

Is this a trick question??:rotfl:

Should we tell them the truth about Nassau? :teeth: Ok I'll start off , at Nassau the party starts when the Wonder pulls away from the dock. :cheer2: :smooth:

HEH HEH! So true! We have stopped at Nassau so many times from cruises, that we don't even bother getting off anymore! Oh yeah, we do get off just to get a few Cuban cigars for DH!

Don't understand why get a day room? Has anyone taken a cab to Cable beach or do you recommend a good beach? Casinos don't interest me at all and not sure I'm interested in Aquarium. Just a good day at the beautiful water.

DH and I want to use the pools and water slides. :teeth:

Shh... don't tell them that Nassau is best treated as an 'at-sea' day...;)

I love this thread of responses :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

There just isn't any place else to go that is a comparable distance from the Port, is there, to substitute for Nassau. One of the big reasons I am doing a 4 night on RCCL next year is because I just dont want to go to Nassau anymore--though I do love CC, even on days too cool to swim.

On our last cruise we did walk around Nassau for about 45 minutes. We have friends who claim Nassau is one of their favorite places to visit (although they had not been for several years). We were not that impressed. And have decided to make Nassau Day on our upcoming cruise a "On The Boat Day".

Oh! by the way, our friends who love Nassau spent Presidents Day Week at Atlantis. They have decided to try a cruise for next vacation!! :boat:
