I previously called Special Reservations for a centrally located room location due to difficulty in walking. They put my request in my reservation. Just recently my son got diagnosed with asthma and I was wondering if I could call Special Reservations so I could request a non-smoking room. Will they have a problem with this since I already put in a previous request?

I really don't think that would be a problem. It's you vacation and you want things just right. I read somewhere that there were 12 nonsmoking rooms to every one smoking so you should be fine with your request.

I agree. Just call and tell them that you have an extra medical request. As dizzyintx said, there are lots of non-smoking rooms, so it should not be a hard request to fill.

If you want to get piece of mind, place a call to the Operations Manager or Front Desk Manager of your resort before you leave and explain your need. They are usually wonderful!

That is excellent advice if you are not already dealing with the Special Reservations Department. Since the OP already has requests in with Special Rervations, I'd suggest putting all the resquests thru them rather than getting other departments involved.
In case anyone needs it, here's the phone number for WDW Resort Special Reservations:
(407) 939-7807
(407) 939-7670 [TTY]
