Trying to decide if a verandah is worth it. Is there a light you can turn on so that you can read out on the verandah at night?
Thanks. My DH said to ask the travel agent but I told him I would get a faster response here!

Yes, there is a light. The switch is inside the cabin and it turns on a low-level light that gives you enough illumination to move around without tripping over the table and chairs.

DH and I loved sitting on our verandah late at night, listening to the waves and watching the stars.

Yes there is a light. I don't think that's it's bright enough for reading though. HTH

I think the light is plenty bright enough to read.....was very nice on the verandah at night.....:)

ahhh...the memories..... the verandah..... the sounds of the ocean right outside your cabin.... :cloud9:

Yes, like the others have said, there is a light outside of each verandah. Honestly, I don't remember if it was bright enough to read by at night. :scratchin How about one of those tiny book lights that clip onto a book? It'd be nice and small to pack and then you'd know for sure that you could sit outside at night and read :)

If I could ask something of my DCL neighbors, it would be to make sure they turn out the light on the verandah before they go to bed. There are times, especially if it's cloudy or there's not much moonlight, where the almost absolute dark coming in that sliding glass door is breathtaking.

We had a situation where a neighbor left their verandah light on all night one night, and it sorta ruined the illusion. Plus, if one was so inclined, there's the opportunity to have a little romance out there. If one were so inclined.

Ah! Verandah Club! (if one were so inclined, of course) :rolleyes1

We could not find the verandah light. Our 7yo DS found it! :rotfl2: The verandah was so nice. It was cool on our trip so we left the door open and could hear the ocean all night. I ate breakfast on the verandah every morning. I am spoiled now. I don't want to cruise without a verandah ever again. ::MickeyMo
