Is there a Free Dining PIN out, yet?

About this time last year I got a PIN for Free Dining for our January vacation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that another FD PIN is out there and it just hasn't landed in my inbox, yet.

Has ANYONE gotten a PIN for FD for 2015?

No, and I've called twice checking on it. We got it last year and went in March of this year with free dining. DH says we can't go unless we get another FD PIN!!

We just got a pin for a room-only discount for Jan-May 2015.

I am on pin watch as well! I received one about this time last year and hoping to get it again to schedule a return trip in February. I was very excited to receive an e-mail last week, however it was for room discount only which was comparable to the Early 2015 room discounts. I am new to the DISboards - but hoping this will give some insight as to when and if those pin codes will be released...

Me, too! I was so excited when the email arrived last week... totally expecting it to be FD... I was bummed when it was just the room discount/SPD. Why do they even bother to send a PIN when it's for the same offer as what's available to the general public?

I NEED to book our winter vacation right now before flight prices go up. If Disney would come out with FD, a return to WDW would be a slam-dunk because it's such a bargain. But, the higher prices are making me consider all of my options. If there is no FD this year, we might go somewhere else.

I read a blog yesterday about this..... They're saying that so many of us book our trip, hoping to apply free dining (either when we get a pin or when the offer goes public) that Disney has no incentive to offer free dining. They have so many trips booked that they won't offer free dining. They tell us, go ahead and book your trip and apply free dining when it comes out. Well, that's what we've done. Now, are we going to cancel because they won't offer free dining? Nope, I'm not. Still going in January with the Stay, Play and Dine offer. And I think Disney knows that. They're smarter than us.

And part of me wonders... if you've reserved/booked a trip, will they still mail a pin code to you? They got your address and all your info. If you've already booked a trip, they have no incentive to mail you an offer. I think we've all jumped the gun and shot ourselves in the foot by booking early, hoping for free dining.

No, just the up to 35% off PIN. Last year we got the FD'ing pin. I still have the e-mail saved. It was for EITHER free dining or the up to 35% room only offer. Looks like they cut free dining out this year.

I double checked our pin. It is room only or Stay-play-dine. No free dining. I would be willing to bet any free dining for the first half of next year is going to be very limited or non-existent.

sad! Was really hoping for a FD pin. Haven't gotten any yet for the spring. I did get a lot for the fall. I've been all over that website... making new accounts, pricing out vacations, but no pin.

I don't get it. People book early other times of year and Disney offered FD early and for almost the whole year. After Xmas is low season, that's why room rates are lower. You would think they would offer FD to pull more people in during the low volume months.

When I was booking SPD for visa cardholders, the CM said they are busier for 2015 than they have been since 9/11 occurred. He said the busier they are, the less the discounts. Certainly no recession at WDW!

Ugh I hope they don't stop doing the free dining pin. I'm going with 4 other people and we're hoping and praying for a FD pin! Disney may be waiting to release it, I know that when I got a FD pin for the fall, I got the email a month before the fall booking season. Maybe it's possible the FD pin won't come out until late November/early December...

Well airlines rates jumped, so I missed my window. I'm not in a hurry to book anymore. I'll wait and see if they come out with FD. If they do, and I can get good airline rates, then we'll book. Otherwise, we are probably headed somewhere else this year.

Nothing yet. Yeah, this is what we need too. If no Free Dining PIN... we don't go in the spring.

I got that same one, too, and it doesn't even come close to Free Dining!

For instance, if I wanted to stay at Coronado Springs, the discount is 30%. The nightly rate is April is $188. That will save me $56 a night. That's nowhere near what I would save with Free Dining for my family of four "adults"!!! I couldn't afford to feed the four of us in Disney for $56 a night! If I wanted to add the dining plan, it's more than that PER PERSON per night.

I'm still holding out hope for that FD PIN!
