When staying in a non DVC room? I need to add one night to our trip. I am out of point and have already used my one time purchase of points AND there is also no rooms in my resort for the extra day. So these are not options.

No, the discount only applies to DVC Villas. If you have an annual pass, that may provide a discount at a non-DVC resort.

What is the date and resort? There are general public discounts out for the summer, as well as AP discounts.
