Is there historically a free dining promo at the end of Oct?
We are going for the last week of Oct. first week of Nov. this year. I have gotten pins for Disneyland but not for World in the last little while and am getting bummed out seeing all these World pins everyone is talking about and none for me.

Last year was the first year that I know they offered free dining in October. Usually free dining is a Aug/Sept perk. Pins are given out at random. I've not got a pin for years and have been for 6 years in a row. If free dining comes out again it trumps any hotel code

Ok, I guess I'm just not in the loop, but how do you get pin codes?

They are random. Some people say if you say if you sign up to be on e-mail list or other Disney related accounts it ups your chances.

Joining in! DH and I would love to take and adults-only trip in Oct. for the F&WF. I am literally kicking myself for not booking an Oct. bounceback when we were at WDW in January . We weren't thinking about October when we were there and of course, now it's too late.

Anyway, here's hoping some good discounts come out!!!

I am joining the fun too. Does anyone know what past deals ahve been offered in October? I know Free dining was in 09, was there anything in 08 or earlier? Just trying to get ideas in my head if no PINs arrive.

I could have sworn I joined an October code watch thread ... it must have been another one that died? Anyway, joining for our Grand Gathering in October!

Not too sure of the dates yet (I guesstimated on my ticker just so I could have one ). There will be 11 of us, 3 from Australia. We are planning for Caribbean Beach for 7 days. My DH and I will be there for two weeks. Can't wait!

Also, I kind of hope they don't release free dining this year in October and just release a really good percent off code. A 30% off code is similar to the savings of free dining (better, if staying deluxe) but the restaurants are not as packed and reservations may be easier to come by (this is from experience - most of our trips are in September, however, reservations for our December trip a couple of years back were easy-peasy).

I'm on watch too! We already booked for October 4-11 and I am hoping for free dining. I received an email today from Disney Destinations with the subject line: Enjoy this delicious Disney deal. I almost fell off the chair. I said to DH, IT'S HERE!!!! He had no clue what I was talking about.

BUT.. before anyone gets too excited, it only offered Free Quick Service Dining for reservations through 6/3/10.

Needless to say, I am still watching!!

Here's hoping for a Sept/Oct. code! My mom and I want to go again. We just got back from a ski trip and some other bills came up unexpectedly so I'm not sure we can swing it. A code for a short trip would really help!

I received a postcard in the mail today with a PIN code for 25% off a value resort thru 2010 (with some blackout dates, of course). Unfortunately, don't see anything on the card regarding a discount for a deluxe resort (we're planning to stay at the Poly) . I'm going to call and see if there's a deluxe discount available with this PIN.

Our neighbors got a pin e-mailed to them. We never get pins!!! We are going together and when she called to book, they said we can book of her code

So now we are both booked, but I'm still hoping for free dining in Oct!!

If you received a post card, there's usually a special URL at the bottom of it created just for you that you can access to see your discount. Try going on there and you will most likely see all other % off available with your pin code.
