^^^No you can't combine the two, but if I can get free dining, I'll go for that, I think its a better deal.

I got a free dining pin for 8/15-10/2, but we've got US/IOA planned for now; BUT, now with this pin might consider a split stay. Oh thee indecison of it all!!!

Went and checked availabilty for our dates & only CBR, WL and Values were open...

I tried pricing out the various discounts that become available (room rate vs free dining) and it looks like the DDP would be the best discount. Here's hoping! It would help us out TREMENDOUSLY if we could get ANY discount, but the free dining is what we prefer! Keeping my fingers crossed!

We're looking to take our first WDW trip at the beginning of Oct. 2010, and watching for discounts. So far, I've gotten one "false alarm" Email from Disney Destinations ("Check out our resorts" type).

Anyone have any opinion as to whether I'm better off going ahead and getting something on the books first, or should I wait out a bit for a code first?

I have convinced my fiance to look into doing a split honeymoon after our wedding in October. We already have rooms for two nights at Disneyland since we're getting married in California, but that will be with all our friends and family in tow! So, I am hoping that we can go from there to WDW and spend a few days there as well, just the two of us!

Decided to book today for Oct 2-8. I had a PIN in my name, but I don't know that I ever received notification about getting one. The CM I talked to mentioned that I would only get a partial discount due to the "blackout dates." The PIN wasn't good for Oct 8-11 due to the holiday weekend which isn't surprising.

I called CRO tonight to see if there is a PIN attached to my name....

first of all, there was crazy feedback on the phone and I could barely hear the CM but I could hear myself really loud....

I asked if there was a PIN or other discount attached to my name. She said "when are you coming?" I said I don't know if we are coming or not, it depends on whether I can get a discount or not. She says "OK but I don't see any reservations under your name" I said that is because we don't when we want to come or even if we can...I need to know if there is a discount. She says "yes there is a discount but I have to know when you're coming down to see if it's available." After about 5 minutes of this, I said ok so what if we want to come down in October? She says "oh no, the code is only available for dates through 6/15."

Why couldn't she just say that in the first place!?

Guess I'll keep trying....
