Is there a "Chef's Table" at Napa Rose?

We'll be staying at GC 12/12-15. I've heard rumor of this but can't find any info. Has anyone here been seated there? Is it a hard reservation to get? I haven't even called yet, thought I would get some info first.

We've never eaten at Napa Rose, so I think that's going to happen anyway. Would love your input on the "Chef's Table" experience.

Yes, it is a lot of fun. You need to call the restaurant directly. They will have 2 seatings to choose from; 530 and 800 I think (it might be 830.)

Chef Sutton came over and discussed the meal with my friends and I. My friends eat there frequently and are friendly with Sutton. They basically told him "Make us anything." I, on the other hand, gave my likes and major dislikes. He noted I would be having "normal" food. He also listened when I said I did like seafood, except for scallops. He made me the "Diver Scallop" dish, only using prawns instead of scallops. Everything he made was great (except the brussel sprouts, but one of my friends ate mine.) I loved the oatmeal ice cream for dessert. I also had the wine pairings, letting the sommelier know my tastes tend to go to the sweet side of wines.

We had a great time.

Yes, there are 2 "tables", each seat 4. We were a party of 3, and had seats 1-4.

It's worth noting that it's actually a counter, so you sit in a line facing into the kitchen. If your group is bigger than 4, you'll be seated at different sections of the counter.

Honestly, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I'm a vegetarian, so almost every dish I had was an original creation, not something found on the menu. The dessert we were served was AMAZING, and not something you can order if you don't sit at the counter. We plan to do it again the next time we have cause for special celebration.

I called and booked the 5:30 seating. There is an 8:30 seating but she said since it's the holiday schedule, there are still several shows you can still see after dinner if you book the 5:30.

She said booking the Chef's Counter gives you the option of ordering the special 4 course meal you can only get if you are sitting there.

It sounds great. I always try to do something different and new each time we go. The only time I've been in Napa Rose was to run in and buy a bottle of the incredible Fairy Tale Champagne. They serve it there and Carthay Circle.

You'll love it! I called Monday and they had same week reservations, so we are going tomorrow! Do get the tasting menu, it's worth it and so so good!

The only time I've been in Napa Rose was to run in and buy a bottle of the incredible Fairy Tale Champagne. They serve it there and Carthay Circle.

They also serve it at Steakhouse 55, WCT, at the Alfresca Lounge at WCT, and a few other places... (Sad that I know all the spots to get it, huh...) Just in case anyone likes it as much as me...

I have been to this winery, it's close to my house, and never knew they made champs for Disney or that this even existed. Thanks for the tip! Going to buy a bottle to try!

I was at the chef's counter for my 8th anniversary and 10th anniversary which was 3 weeks ago. I like doing the "make me anything route...very unique and tasty...even tho I did prefer some of my husband's courses over mine. We did the wine pairings too. Would go again if we could

It was all items off the normal menu, just the chef picking out what we would be eating based upon what we told them our alergies/dislikes were. I got the wine pairing with mine, which was well paired. The food was remarkable (but so was our bill for three people)

We had such a great experience when we did the chef's counter 4 years ago. The lady sitting next to me was diabetic, and they made her a special strawberry dessert that was not on the menu but that was ok for her to eat. They also picked dishes based on our taste preferences. It was really fantastic.

The dishes themselves are not custom (in most cases, unless they alter it based on allergy or dislike, etc) but the meal itself is custom vs the same 4 courses for everyone. It's a splurge but well worth it! One hour to go for me!

We've ate there at the chef's counter twice. Loved it both times. The dishes we were served weren't anything different than what was on the menu. The difference was that they were in a different order than the Vintners menu. Also my wife had mentioned how much I like turnips when she got hers on one dish. My next course I had a side of baby turnips served as well.

We will for sure do it again sometime.

As a single who was seated at the counter with a couple it's nice to be able to interact with the chefs instead of just your waiter. It's not like they will reserve all 4 seats for 3 people - especially if there is a solo is looking for a seat.

Sharing the counter can be a "little awkward"
DW and I shared with a young couple that ordered off the menu, a basic 3 course meal. So much of the time they were watching us eat...
