I'm hoping there is, as Kyra has just recieved some money from her other Grandma as a Christmas present and im thinking that if i withdraw some money Monday morning at Ashford i can exchange it to Euros in DLP, rather than use my bank card in DLP and get charged.

I'm hoping the money place in the departures will be open so i can do it there, if not is there any place in DLP i can change my sterling up?

Theres a bureau de change at City Hall at the top of main street. We changed travellers cheques there.

There is one in Main Street and also across from the Disneyland hotel main entrance. Most of the hotels can do this for you too. Sadly, we have found the DLP bureaus exchange rate work out about the same as using plastic.

I'm trying to save on the £1.50 withdrawl charge and the 2.75 transaction fee. I know i wont get alot for £60 but its more spending money for Kyra and I.

I wasn't looking out for it in particular, so didn't look too closely but I'm (quite) sure we walked past one near Annette's. It's at the end, right in the corner, in the same row as Disney Store.

Thanks Alice, I'll go and have a look if the one in ashford is closed.

In 2003 when we stayed at the Santa Fe we exchanged cash at the hotel, no charges either. Course it may be different now but worth asking at your hotel.

There is definately one beside Annettes... i saw it when i was there in Nov :goodvibes

I thought you had got one of the travel cards Emma that you can just put money on or did you not bother in the end

There is one on the village, but a word of warning, the woman in first choice advised me not to change any money in disney as the exchange rate there is alot worse than over here. :scared1:

Well i cant change it proir to going as i get paid monday morning. So i have to change it up over there. Im not expecting to get much for £60 anyway.

There is definatly one by Annettes, next to the Disney Store, but the exchange rate was awful when we looked. I exchanged before we left and got 1.11, the rate at DLRP was 1.01!

Anyway that you could exchange Kyras before you go so at least you can get something better here iygwim!

Kyra has £10 lol. Its not going to go far wherever i change it up.

Hi,

Get yourself a Nationwide bank account and debit card - they don't charge you for withdrawls in country and will not charge you a conversion charge. The only way to maximise the rate! Do not use change shops or the hotels. Use the ATM just like at home but get Euros out!

Rgds
