Is there a body in that bag, Or are you getting married in disney? AK part 1 up!

Loved your dress for Jiko - very appropriate! Love AKL; great place to relax and escape the business of the parks.

Thank you! It was very zebra/exotic/summer-ish so i figured it fit right in. :goodvibes

And yes AKL is quite amazing for relaxation. We spent the entire first day there and I wasn't itching to be anywhere else really. Which normally I am! I'm always wanting to get to a park or DDT but i was completely content with hanging out there that that.

I'm in, I love reading about Disney weddings!

Yay! Welcome and glad you're joining in!

Hey girls!!!!

Just got back from the gym with DH.... :faint: I'm pooped! We decided that we wanted to loose some LBS before the cruise next year. Probably should've done that before the wedding but that just didn't happen :rolleyes1

Anywho I'm working on the next update and should have it posted for y'all by tomorrow night. I still have to upload some picture and recall everything from that day

Hope you're all having a good week!

omg girls I am so sorry i haven't been updating like i promise! DH and I started renovating like crazy and we are trying to get everything done before christmas because apparently we are hosting christmas day this year... how we were nominated for that I'm not sure but whatever

Anywho back to our regularly scheduled program...

First full day at disney!!! woohoo!

We weren't going to try and make people do whatever we wanted since we understood that this was just as much our guests vacation as ours. We let everyone know that we were heading to AK and if they wanted to come they were more than welcome... if not, no biggie but that we were having a rehersal dinner (even though we didn't have a rehersal lol) that night and everyone was invited and to meet at BOMA for dinner at 5:30.

DH and I got ready and headed down to the Mara for breakfast where we met up with DBIL's, DAuntie C, and DM.

Here are the brothers in a decent picture of the three of them

And here is how they really are normally... goofy! :rotfl:

We ate breakfast with everyone and then headed to the Buses to catch the AK bus. DAuntie C told me she'd be meeting us there in alittle bit and to go ahead without her. We got our tickets :woohoo: and called DD and DD's g/f to let them know where we there... apparently they were already there and taking in all the scenery.

We met them at the tree of life and decided we wanted to hit EE! On the way over the boys decided they wanted to hit up the african drum.

They pushed children out of the way so they could do this... They are lucky they make me laugh! :rotfl2:

We got to EE where DD looked at it... looked back at me and said "ummm should I be doing this?" I told him it wasn't as bad as it looked and there was only a 15 min wait and to do it. At first he wasn't going to but DD's g/f convinced him it would be fun. DD had a blast just waiting in line. He hadn't been to disney since I was ten years old so for him to be back and see all the new things that weren't there last time he visited was really cool. He couldn't get over how detailed all the line areas were. It made me really happy to see him having fun :goodvibes

we were next in line and were seated towards the middle of the train. We all boarded and the train started up that very loooooong talllllll hill! We hit the part with the broken track and i looked behind me to see DD with his eyes closed but a big smile on his face. :lmao: It was too funny! It is definitly a moment i'm going to remember for a long time. We got off the ride and him and his g/f couldn't stop laughing!

After the ride me, DH, DBIL's, DD and DD's g/f were walking through the lobby where we saw DAuntie C and DM. **side note, DM and DD have been divorced for 10 yrs, it was not a pretty divorce. This was the first time they had been in the same area for more than 20mins together.... needless to say i was nervous. Oh and the first time DD's g/f would meet my DM :scared:**

I saw DAuntie C whisper something to my DM and my DM came over said hello to my DD and she introduced herself to DD's g/f. Phew... so far so good. DH and I sighed a sigh of relief. We bought the picture from EE (best picture ever) and decided that the eight of us would go to the KS. As we walked over to the safari I asked DAuntie C where my DS's were and apparently they went to MK with DAuntie A and her kids. boooooo! I really wished they came but oh well.... the call of Cindy's castle was too much for them i guess.

We got in line and the conversations between everyone were pretty good. If things got awkward someone whether me, DH, the boys, or DAuntie C broke the silence with something funny...

Here is one of the things that broke the silence

I really like turtles so this guy was rather cute and I made everyone check him out.

Great update! Man, that stinks when you get all of the work done and then poof, gone. Grrr.

Great update :goodvibes Love the picture of the guys playing on the drums!!

I usually type up my report in Word (constantly saving the document as I go) and then copy and paste over here - adding in any smiley faces and font formatting that I want to do...because the same thing has happened to me many times :headache:

Hi Mrs Z! I love reading wedding TRs! Sounds like a good time so far and I can't wait to read more.

I'm going to be honest with you.... There were things that DH and I wanted for the wedding but we decided to cut out because of $$ issues. We NEVER once said "gee I wish we kept the bigger centerpieces" or "man, I wish we had more decorations at the ceremony site" Simple little touches here and there make all the difference... sometimes i think some brides go overboard. When we get to the wedding day you'll see that we had very minimal decor... I'm glad we saved the money!

Let me know if you need any help or have questions! I loved wedding planning! :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to seeing your wedding day! Fiance and I are very into minimal decor too, not just because of the money but also because I don't think it really matters. I would rather have more people at the wedding than more decorations. I agree with you that brides do go overboard. They just get so caught up in every little detail, and it's very easy to get caught up if you sign up for all the wedding sites that send you emails so often!

Phew! So glad that you were happy with Pastor Luther!

I like that you told the manager that Nessar was a great server! I do that too because my mom always does it. I know that MOST managers are really happy to hear it, and I think the server deserves to know that he/she is doing a good job and get the recognition for it! There was only one instance where the manager looked annoyed that I had asked to speak to him. Haha, um, sorry?

Ooo, I'm glad that your visit to AK wasn't too awkward! Disney really is the best place to have everyone because there's always something to see or do to be a silence breaker!
