Is there a Best Day of the week to visit the Studios/IOA? We are planning a Disney and Universal vacation for mid-January during the very slow season. I'm trying to get squared away which days I will be going where so I can book ADR's at Disney soon.

We plan on spending either 2-3 days total at Studios/IOA - we have the 99.xx tickets that are good 7 days from first use.

TIA

January shouldn't be too bad in terms of lines so if you go during the week...maybe Tuesday through Thursday...you would keep the lines at a minimum.

Thank you. Do you think it would even be worth it to buy the express pass? We aren't staying onsite at Universal this time around (we have in the past but its been 5 years since then).

I would wait until you arrive and see how the lines are. If you decide to purchase the EP, you can do so at either park but I doubt you would need it.

Where did you find such a good deal on tickets? The best I have found so far is $119 for the 7 day.

You absolutely will not need an express pass in January if you don't go on a holiday.

I bought those from AAA several months ago when they had just a few left after the big promotion by Universal Orlando.

$119 for 7 days though is not a bad price at all - for some reason I thought that the price was to go up "dramatically" after the 99.xx dealio. We actually have thought about going to Universal Orlando when we go back to Disneyworld in December 2011 and I was not looking forward to the ticket prices.

Where did you find $119 for 7 days? Cheapest I found was $139 for three days. Is that to both parks or just one?

I found that deal through AAA South and it was available to residents of Tennessee, Georgia and Puerto Rico. The $119 does not include tax, so if your price does include tax. I have seen another post here at one point where someone got the same kind of 7 day ticket through Maple Leaf for $129 including tax, so you may want to check there also.

The ticket is for 7 consecutive days, including both parks.

Thanks. Looks like my AAA is pretty high here in Ohio. Undercovertourist seems to be the cheapest.
