Is there a April 2008 code watch thread? **This seems to be it!!

Hi, new to the boards posting although I have been reading them for a few months....I am jumping in on the April code watch.

We are planning on going April 20th for 5 nights and have a garden view at the Polynesian booked for now!

Hi all:

Brand spankin' new to Disney planning. Jumping on this thread as we're planning our Apr 21-27 trip. :yay:

New to the boards but planning an April 08 Disney vacation the 8th~18th!!

Oh and its our first time ever going!!:cheer2:

I haven't been by in quite awhile, just stopping in to see if there was any news?

I'm hoping for an AP room only discount for late April! Hey, a girl can dream, right?

I'm subscribing too. Here's hoping for good rates in April--we're hoping to go the week of the 21st. I've been watching the airfare for months--it's not pretty, so I will have to save my pennies on hotels.

If I book now, I can always add the code on afterwards, right?

Cate

Is anyone else as insane as me? I actually consider waiting for April discount codes to be part of the trip planning process. (It comes right after the opening of the new Passporter on Christmas that announces the trip t the family.)

If last year is any indication, codes should be announced sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Am I grasping at straws here or do you think it means anything for us that there is a "2 Days Free" promotion + gift card for Disneyland packages that was recently announced?? It includes almost all of April. :scratchin

I'm with you Fireman, waiting for codes, obsessively planning - all part of the process. I just finished my spreadsheet this morning with all our ADRs, AM and PM park plans, notes, etc. I would never admit this anywhere but on the DIS!:woohoo:

:rotfl: Dh says to me the other day "And so begins the weeks and weeks of obsessive planning, and replanning. " He doesn't get it but attempts to humor me nonetheless. I am really needing a code to come out though, his friend was telling him what a great deal they got for Universal so he asked me to look into it. I did and it is sooooooo much cheaper than WDW, especially the tickets, that I need a good rate to help convince him that he would rather go to WDW. He knows he would rather go to WDW but he's having a hard time swallowing the ticket prices. How the man never realized what it cost before now, I'll never know

Looking for AP rate in April - will be watching out.

Bumping! Going the week of the 20th..locked into the 2007 rates, a little more off won't hurt anyone!

Mousesavers is now reporting AP rates are out through March 6th (about 2 weeks prior to Easter). I wonder what this means for early April rates??? I'm hoping they're still coming, but I'm afraid they may be blacking out more than just the 2 weeks on either side of Easter like they did in 2007.

We are hoping to go in April too. We don't have definate dates or anything because we just decided.

The "codes" that everyone is waiting for, are they for the general public or AP's only? Also, should I book our room now and then apply a code later?

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with the thought of going so soon and the planning involved, but I REALLY want it to happen!

Thanks
