Is the week after Christmas worse than...

Easter week? I have this crazy idea of taking off on Christmas day and returning on New Years day. We have never taken a winter trip, but survived the week before Easter and the week after Easter just fine. Has anyone done both and have a comparison for me?

I can't answer your question from experience, but I've been at Easter and am also going the week after Xmas this year. Everything I've read here indicates that post-Xmas will be worse than Easter for crowds. Looking at last year's park hours and entertainment schedules, it certainly appears that Disney plans on it being more crowded than Easter.

I enjoyed all the energy at Easter time, but I'm a little nervous about Xmas. We'll just get to the parks early and plan on spending more time on activities outside the parks.

I have gone both weeks many times and find them both pretty darm busy - I would give a slight edge to the week after CHristmas being busier than Easter week however if you have done Easter successfully you should be able to handle Christmas week also.

Christmas Week is the busiest week of the year.....hands down. If there's any other time that you can possibly go....skip Christmas week.

That is the busiest time of the year - if you don't like crowds - this is not the best time to go.

I've done both and while the week after Christmas week was more crowded they both were incrediably busy....If you understand fully how crowded it will be then go ahead and go...

I've done both also. I'd give the edge to Christmas week being busier overall, but the crowds can be managed with some good use of early entry and fastpasses. Christmas is a very cool time to see WDW in all its finery. If you've survived Eastertime fine, you'll probably also survive (and hopefully enjoy!!) Christmastime too. Good luck!
