Is it ok to use the water from your site for cooking etc or should we bring water. We will have bottled water for drinking.

the water is fine, just hook up to the hose bib that does not have a green hose attached to it. it will be clearly marked.

Yes it is safe to drink. However, it has a distinctive taste of water from Florida. My wife notices more than I do. We generally bring bottle water for her drinking needs. I generally purchase an inline water filter for the trailer. It does a good job making the water more palatable IMO. Good luck.

We use the in line filter to the camper and also have a brita filter pitcher we use. :drinking1

I cook with it and have drank it. I do recommend a filter for the RV anyway. Also the Fort has GREAT pressure, so make sure you have a pressure regulator if hooking up your RV to the Forts Water.

As for comments about using the green hose, I'd like to add/clarify. I don't believe it's horrible to use a green hose to drink water from. (Did it MANY times as a kid) however, don't use the green hose that is already at the campsite (and connected) as you don't know where it's been or how it's been used (Maybe someone used it to "Flush" their Sewer hose?)
