Any thoughts from those who have been to see the Jungle Book show? Is it worth the extra cost to have the Tusker House seating for the first show?

Id like to know too but the subjective nature of the results to your query will yield answers all over the board. Bad from those who hate spending money. Good from those who want the seat for the show. I can't wait for some vets to reply. I am waiting on spots to open after September 5th.

The show was lackluster and unfocused. I wouldn't see it again, but if it looks interesting to you and you would want to see it anyway, I'd probably pay the slight upcharge for the dining package so you don't have to wait in the standby line.

1) It is only about $7 extra for the Jungle Book Show.
2) Here is a hint, if booking OOP:
. . . go ahead and book the meal WITH the show
. . . when you get to the podium to check-in just say you don't want the show
. . . there is no penalty and the ADR time stands as-is at just the meal price
. . . it is a no-loose situation for the guest

I don't get it..... :confused3:confused3 why not just book a regular ADR at Tusker House instead of the jungle book dining package??? That way you will pay less and you don't get the pass for the show.

The jungle book show is not the best that i saw but the dedicate places are good if You arrive 30 minutes before the show. And this restaurant is very good!

You've got two booking options...

1) Book with JB package.
2) Book without JB package.

If you're on the fence and not sure if you want the package, just book it anyways. You can always cancel the package part right up to the time you check in. If you book without the package, you are out of luck if you decide you want it.

With the reviews for the JB show not being so good, I cancelled the ADR I made for my nephew in July. It's too expensive IMO for a show that may not be so good.

Frankly, I saw one person state that it was as "good as the Nemo show" and that was all I needed to cancel the ADR. Nemo is IMO the worst show I've ever seen at Disney. I can't believe it's running. The Tarzan show it replaced was about 900 times better.

I haven't heard anyone post this yet....is the dining package seating any better than the FP seating area? Is one more centered than the other one? Thanks!

We thought it was worth it. I can't look at the food and the seat and say "this was worth the $200 I paid for it", but I had debated on cancelling the ADR, and we were glad we kept it. That was our only character meal this trip. I was glad we didn't have to wait in the standby line, and FP wasn't an option for us because we added the day to our tickets the day we got there, which was the day we saw the show. I also don't like using FP for nighttime shows because we made good use of our 4th, 5th, 6th and subsequent FP. This was a budget trip of sorts. Our food budget aside from 2 other TS meals was $100/$125 per day for family of 4, and we had no trouble sticking to that.

The FP seats were on the right hand side of the theater, the dining package and standby is on the left side. There is a split down the middle where the floats went in and out.

I am wondering the same thing.

FP viewing is the entire section on the Expedition Everest side of the amphitheater. Dinning package is the more center two sections of the Dinoland side. Note that you may want to arrive towards the beginning of the return time as they do fill seats fast. We had the package and we got the 2nd to last row in the dinning section. The whole are was almost completely full by the time we got there (about 15 minutes prior to show time). Also note it is confusing to get to dinning packages enter on the pathway from Nemo to Asia almost by the loading area of the Nemo show. So basically keep walking until you finally find the entrance because you can be standing in front of the Nemo building and instead of the CMs saying "the entrance is a little further that way" they will just scream dinning packages enter in front of the Nemo theater. The chaos getting to your seat was a real turn off to be honest even though we thought the show was enjoyable and was pretty.

Me too. We have Tiffins package.

Tiffins keep the package! They are practically giving the seating away if you are on the Tiffins package. We went just below the 67 a piece between appetizer, entree, and dessert. Even the waiters said the package made no sense to them as it was giving food away at that point. Just make sure you aren't too full to eat all three courses.

Edit to add a break down my appetizer, entree, and dessert cost 65 and my fiance's cost 66 had we ordered ala cart. Those were not the most expensive dishes on the menu either. SO our passes were a 1 and 2 each. There are dishes you can get where you actually pay less with the package.

I was wondering if the view better for the Dining Package section (like World of Color in Disneyland)? Does the images stay in Focus no matter where your seat is?

I'm not sure there is a "great" view of everything from any seat, just because of the way the theater is designed. We were as close to the center as we could get, and we couldn't see everything. There was more than 1 water screen (2 or 3, can't remember).

We are wondering about this. If ROL is ready ( August) will our Tusker/JB switch to Tusker/ROL? Thats really why we have it.

Yes if they will be offering ROL packages they should automatically change to the new show just like SW dessert packages did.
