Who is Tom Robinson? Is there actually a childrens book out there I haven't read?

I was actually thinking that this belonged on the Gay & Lesbian board; Tom Robinson Band was a gay rock band from the late '70s, but I'm pretty sure the Island hasn't been renamed for him!
