Is the SW Visa 50,000 offer going on?

Hello all,

Since we're close to a new year, I'm hoping to do the SW Visa Companion pass deal. Does anyone know if the 50,000 offer is going on on any or all of their cards? Thank you!!

I haven't seen it on the plus card in nine months, but you can get it on the premier card almost any time.

They are always going on. Best play (assuming you have good credit) is to apply for the plus card, then apply for the premier. You can do the promos on both every 2 years. That gives you 100k points. After annual fees and other fees, we ended up paying around $300 for 6 of us to fly to Orlando.

Thank you! I have the plus card now, and have had it for a few years. If I cancelled it, would I be able to apply for it again, or should I apply for the Premier and Business? We have a business, but have never had a credit card for it. We have excellent credit, and pay off our balances every month. Since I'm needing to pay my dd's college tuition for the upcoming semester, I'd be able to hit the amount we need for the Companion plan pretty easy.

There's 3 Southwest cards with the bonus: (1) Personal Plus, (2) Personal Premier and (3) Business Premier.

I had the Personal premier so I applied for the Business Premier online. They also had the Personal Premier sign up bonus online as well.

And the Personal Plus was a little difficult to find because the online one had a lower sign up bonus (it was 30,000 points when I was looking earlier this month). But if you find a referral for the plus, you could call in to get the Referral Sign up bonus (50,000 points). Don't have a referral, but sites like flytalker and reddit/r/churning would have a referral thread for you.

I do have the regular one, I think it's called the Plus. I'm wondering if I can still apply for the Premier and Business, as well.

Yup, you can. I currently hold all 3.

Companion Pass is a tier benefit for Southwest Rapid Reward Members. When you accumulate 110k points within a calendar year, you will earn a Companion Pass for the remainder of the year, plus the full additional year.

The CP lets you pick someone as your designated travel companion. And when you register their name, they can fly for free when you purchase a Southwest Ticket through either through points or cash value.

A lot of people utilize the 50,000 point bonus with 2 or more cards to reach 100k points, and quickly reach the remaining 10k for the CP.

If so, how long between canceling & reapplying did you get approved?
