The late singer-song writer Harry Chapin had an audience participation portion of a song in which the audience yelled "It Sucks!!" And that is what comes to mind with Pinocchios Pizza. Never did room service pizza on 4
DCL cruises.
For those who like it, I'll say that its not your fault, you might not have access to good pizza in your community. Just like I don't know anything about many things to which I have not been exposed.
Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's are not good pizza. At all. And all are superior to Pinocchios. Tombstone is better also. I grew up in an Italian town in Connecticut, and have many a pizza at Frank Pepe's in New Haven, the best pizza in the world. I've had many a slice in NYC. I've even been to Gino's East for all you Windy City folks, and while that is a different food item than a thin pizza, it is excellent. Pinocchio's is not good by any stretch of the imagination. I am reminded of school lunch pizza from 30 years ago.
Will kids like it? Perhaps. Now--the disclaimer--I didn't say I don't eat a few slices now and again while on board. Taking a few slices to a movie seems so much fun, who cares if it sucks. I also eat McDonald's hamburgers--but that doesn't make them good.
So focus on other food, but if you are passing by, you can have a slice or two in 20 seconds to have something to eat while in line at Pluto's.
The hawaiian seemed to have the dried pineapple that is usually found with nuts and seeds in the muesli type mix are at breakfast, rather than fresh pineapple. So I swapped over to the pepperoni. Which was the least objectionable.
We didn't have the pizza at Palo's, we have a decent amount of local pizza joints with good pizza, and local tuscan type restaurants with comparable pizzas to the style offered in Palo's, so we went for other items.
