I forget what part it was in.

...and why was / is it there in the first place? It always seemed so out of place. But those damn fries were GOOOOOoooooD! :worship:

There is still a McDonald's on property, at the corner of Buena Vista Drive and Osceola Parkway, but they are no longer in any of the parks.

there are no more mcdonald's stands inside the parks.
i'm glad i kept my empty french fry container because it has the 4 park icons on the back.

there is still a free standing mcdonald's on property though.

I am pretty sure they pumped something into the air at what was then MGM (I think) to make me crave those fries. Every single time I walked in that park, I went to the "fry stand"

I thought it was Restaurantosaurus at AK that had McDonalds food at one time? Didn't realize there were other places.

Money-saving tip for that McDonald's: Even though all the food is priced way higher than other Orlando McD's, they still have the 2 for $2 specials (or 2 for $3 if you want breakfast). But they're not readily shown on the displays.

If I remember correctly a few years back Disney decided to go trans fat free and Mcdonalds didn't go along with the plan. As a result, they parted ways

The Mcdonalds near the All Stars also gives a good discount for those who are Disney Resort guests. They don't promote it anywhere you just have to know about the discount and mention it or hope you get an employee that will tell you about it. This is one of the reasons we like staying at All Star Sports and being able to walk over to the McDonalds for breakfast every morning. They are also open 24hrs if you need that burger at 3am.

I didn't know this! We ate there last month when we stayed at CSR.

Yea I thought it was pretty cool being able to get mcdonalds nuggets and fries at Epcot. It ended back in like 2008 or so.

And about the McDonald's by the resort..just be prepared for no dollar menu. Went there once and saw their prices were higher than regular McDonald's. So that was the last time we went there. We'll drive a little further and go to the one by Disney Springs.

Yep, no dollar menu. But they do have the 2 for $2 (and 2 for $3) specials above, just not displayed, so you can save on those.

Officially the best tip I've learned this year & right in time for our return to All-Stars this weekend too! Now I just have to ask - does anyone remember what's on those promos? They ended in my region awhile back so I'm fuzzy, lol!

Should be similar to this. This is the same as what we have in Georgia, but according to the McDonald's site it's nationwide. (the 2 for $5 promo ended, so maybe that's what you were thinking of).

I know the McDouble was part of the "AllStars McD" when I was there in February.

I never knew you could get a discount at the McDonalds by All stars if you were staying on-site.

What is the discount and how do you prove you are staying on-site?

Not sure about the exacts percentage but we think it came to around 20% off. All we ever did was mention we where staying onsite and showed them our magicband and they applied the discount to our order.

I remember when they cut the deal in '96, Eisner debated a large McD's in Disneyland's Adventureland (possibly tearing down an attraction to build it)...plan didn't go over very well.
