We are at Aulani in mid-November and want to do the Luau. Is the Preferred seating worth the extra cost? New pricing is $175 for General Seating and $204 for Preferred. Interested in any thoughts on this. TIA

No, it's not worth it in my opinion. We just went to Luau a couple days ago and booked General admission and had a great seat.. infact every table had a good view of the stage. The benefits of preferred is you get a closer seat to the stage and get dismissed to eat first at the buffet.

Yes, in my opinion it is worth it. You get great seats and adult beverages. Plus you are first in line for the food!

We thought it was worth it. But I have a husband who's always looking around to see if someone is in a faster line than him....

Totally worth it IMO. But then again I like being able to see the sweat on the fire knife dancers….YMMV 😂😂😂

IMO it is definitely worth it. But it depends if you value the little perks that it brings (as noted in other replies). We enjoyed it here.

We have preferred booked for later this month. I justified it a couple ways. Preferred gets in first. That's one extra "free" drink. AND it was $100 extra for our family of four on a trip that costs THOUSANDS. So essentially a rounding error. This is probably the only time we'll ever do it too...so might as well.

I probably wouldn't do it again. We were seated in the furthest table away from the aisle, in the corner. I'm pretty sure some general tickets had a better view. Our table was also dismissed last for food before general seating. I did like getting to do the activities before lines got long, but now that we've done them I don't feel like it's a must do again.

With that said, we enjoyed everything else. The show was great and we liked the food. I saw a person at another table ask their server if there was mac and cheese in the buffet, like in the child's bento box. A few minutes later, he brought them a huge bowl of it, thought that was nice.
