Anyone else on for a Star Wars fest this evening? We've started to watch Episode IV. It could be a long night!

We've already set aside tomorrow evening for the bonus DVD. I'm a little surprised that they haven't come up with more inspiring packaging given the number of years they've had, but as long as the digital remastery is up to it, then I suppose that's all that matters...

I love Starwars!- But I think that the original trilogy is the best. Well done for getting a copy of the DVD collection- from what Ive heard waiting lists are huge with one person I know being on the waiting list for months!

not getting a chance to pick mine up til maybe as late as the weekend so /sigh but the virgin store i pre ordered from was having darth vader come in and sign all preordered copies. so its worth it.

DH was out last night at 12 midnight getting a copy from the shop...They were on first thing this morning, have been on throughout the day. DD has gone off to bed to watch episode's IV & VI and we are just about to retire and watch the bonus dvd tonight

I too preordered from Amazon and was getting well excited but it still hasn't arrived at my office so my Star Wars fest is on hold at the moment. (I'm having a Hitch-Hikers fest instead those CD's from Aamzon have arrived)

PS. Wasn't the golf exciting

My box set hasnt arrived yet, its coming from dvdsoon for £22, but its Canada, so it might take a few more days.

Fortunately, the dvd's were leaked a couple of months back and I had already downloaded my "try before you buy" copies.....

I really wish they hadnt ruined Return of the Jedi at the end though. I wonder if they removed the actor from the end credits also ?

Hi.

My DVDs arrived yesterday at 10.30am and I've been watching them alot since.I don't like the way that the end of Return of the Jedi has been changed.Sebastian Shaw has been replaced by Hayden Christensen.I guess to link the old and new triolgys together.
The extras dvd is very good,the Empire of dreams documentary is excellent.There is a sneak peek at episode 3 which looks promising,the duel between anakin and obi-wan looks very cool.
Its great to finally have the original films on dvd at last,well worth the wait.

just picked mine up from virgin in bristol. they tried to stiff me out my signed copy.

i arrived and cornered a sales assistant and showed him my pre order reciept stating i had ordered a signed copy(they had the actor that played darth signing copies on the day of release)

he ran out back and came back empty handed stating they had all gone. the guy hadnt stayed as long and had only signed 300 instead of 600. i gave him a dubious look and he imedietly said uhh there still might be some out back let me check again. i hadnt said a word so i knew something was up. before he left he said are you SURE you want a signed copy. to which i replied. YES i paid for one and pre ordered here because of the signed copy. so he scuttles off.

and returns with a signed copy. /sigh thank god for that. otherwise i'd have had to have found a manager and complained ALOT. wonder who the idiot was trying to keep the copy back for

like i said to my wife after. dont mess with star wars fans. we arent trekkies. we dont say live long and prosper. we slice you in half with a lightsabre
