Is the food at CRT really that bad?

One thing I wanted to add about the service here.

My parents were raving about the waiter here.
He was the best they had for their entire stay, and the tip was included.
He would actually not take anything extra (maybe they can't?)

Anyway, where am I going with this?
Good service and location can change your view of average/bad food.

There was an "experiment" done on food detectives where people were given microwave food. One group was served in a CS type location on paper plates and cups and one was given in a nice location with china and crystal. Of course the nice location got rave reviews and the CS location got panned.

I think this accounts for a lot of the good review of places that I feel are consistently bad.
The magic of Disney changes people perception of the food, especially on their first trip and it's "free".

So it's a great location and if you get a good server you are probably going to have a good time and you will probably enjoy the meal.

If you can get a reservation (Good Luck) and have not been you really have to try it.

I believe you should go - it was a great experience for us. I had read negative things about some of the places I chose to eat but went anyway. I was happy with the food there. I had the chicken and loved the mashed potatoes. I would have preferred something other than a leg and a wing because there was hardly any meat on it LOL but the taste was good. DH got prime rib and it took up the whole plate almost and he said it was good. It is something I glad we did once!! Everyone should try everything in life........at least once ;)

We just had dinner there last week...I had the prime rib, hubby had the pork chop. He didn't like his, mine was very good. They also made an extra large portion from the kids' menu for my son (he was eating adult TS). Our waitress was attentive...the show was disappointing as our seats were up near the kitchen and we couldn't see without standing in someone else's face. One of the mice came around for pics, the fairy godmother breezed by so quickly I barely got a rear-view picture.

We prob won't go again...went this time for my daughter (1st trip). She loved seeing Cinderella downstairs! Next time, we'll prob go to 1900 Park.

We have done both breakfast and dinner and I don't think either one is worth 2 points on the dining plan. Having said that, we are going again for dinner because that is what our DD17 choose (eveyone gets to choose one meal). The food for dinner is a little fancy for my choosing but like someone else said, it is about the experience, not the food. Have a great trip!
