We have 2 small dd's, 3 and 5. They are very active so I was thinking that it might be nice to be able to have access to the "outdoors" easily. That way if they have to burn off some energy it would be so easy to just walk outside without having to find the elevator/stairs each time. But it doesn't seem like there would be that great of a view and would it be noisy on the first floor? A previous poster mentioned rm #110 which would open to the pool area. She seemed to like it. Any other opinions on the first floor?
Thanks!

Our last trip we stayed on the 1st floor, room 133(I think it was). I loved the
patio in the morning for the kids, but the noise outside the door at night was a stronger dislike. I felt like we could hear everyone who walked down that hallway. We were close to the elevators, so the traffic by the door was loud.
I dont know if it would be better with a one or two bedroom, but in the studio I could hear everything. :sad2:
We had stayed on the third floor the previous trip and loved the balcony. We would never stay on the first floor again if we had a choice.

We stayed on the first floor, 124, in 2005, with our kids, 6 & 3. It was great for us! Not noisy at all. Last year, we stayed on the 5th floor, kids were 7 & 4. Loved the large balcony and view.

Either would be fine for young kids! Most excess kid energy was used up at the parks, so there was no need for them to run around outside at the villas on the 1st floor :) .

Last August my friend's son (3yrs) opened the locked sliding door and took off. It took Disney police about 5min. to find him. It seemed like an eternity! Just something to think about.

That's better than walking out on the 4th floor and ... well ground level does have it's advantages.

I have only stayed ground level at WL and we LOVED it. The kids would go out on the patio and chase the birds, etc. I am always a wreck about those balconies. When we were still getting ready in the AM, they enjoyed being able to wait outside with the flowers and birds and "people watching". Seemd to stop the "how much longer" whining.
