Is the Express Pass worth it?

My husband and I will be going to Universal for 1 day in early February. We will be touring both parks on that day. Is it worth getting the Express Pass?

Having an EP, even in February, would be helpful to allow you to hit most everything in both parks in a single day.

If you are both ok with using single rider lines, then I'd say you'd be ok to not have express passes. I agree that having EP always makes the visit more enjoyable, but given the date and if you're willing to use single rider if needed, then I'd say skip it. Keep in mind that if you get a night at one of the deluxe resorts, you'll both get unlimited EP. Have fun!
