My DW and I are headed to wdw Sept 3 - 10. We are staying at WL. Is the EWP something worth viewing one evening or is that a waste of time. :hourglass

I am usually pretty good with acronyms, but not getting this one. Thanks!
Electric Water Pageant. Is it worth it? Its pretty good but the last time I saw it in Oct. 2004 it seemed much shorter than it use to be. It runs every night its worth a look.Low expectations make for higher satisfaction.

If I am staying at WL, I like to plan to be back for it at least one night. I just love hearing it move quietly into place and seeing it there.

It's 1:53 a.m., and we literally just got back from a long weekend at WL. As a previous poster said, it's not worth planning an evening around EWP. We spent an evening at the pool and caught the EWP and fireworks from the pool deck. Pretty cool! The music from EWP was so loud that we could hear it in our room.

We were there last Sept. at the Poly and one of the CM's told us that there were several floats damaged by one of the hurricanes, that is why it is smaller now.

Caught the EWP while staying at the Contemporary. Ditto above opinions.

If you want to see it, bundle it with a dinner at Artist Point at WL. (Probably other resort restaurants have a view, too, but I don't know.) Make sure you'll be dining soon before the parade starts, and then during your meal you can go out on AP's balcony and watch the parade. The EWP is not something I'd plan my life around, but you could easily line it up with a nice dinner if that was in your plans already.

i love it but its not long
i saw it while sitting in the monorail on the way to the gf we stopped for some reason it was cute and i like the music but i would not schedule aorund it

EWP is very strange, in a way. lol It's cute though! We saw it from our balcony a few nights while we were at the Polynesian a few weeks ago.

The music sounds like synthesized organ music :earboy2: But I love *anything* that's Disney classic, so I enjoyed it. :)

Here's a little teaser!

The Poly is the first hotel that it goes past. It goes by the Poly at 9:00 pm. If you have small children, then I would make more of an effort to see it. Our kids LOVE it - especially my DS5.

We first saw it in 1989. The EWP seemed to be longer (both in time a # of floats) before the WL was built. I'm guessing they shortened it when they put an extra show in for the WL..
