Is the EMH worth it?

Wed: Airport to Disneyland 11am-close
Thurs: DCa open to close
Friday: Disneyland

Kids are 18-22
Should we switch up our plans to take advantage of one day with EMH? Staying at Courtyard Anaheim so we can walk over. Some strategies say to avoid parks on EMH. Our 3 day tickets only afford us one.

DCA will be better for you on Thursday as well.

personally I would use it to take advantage of the slightly lower crowds for the first hour -- you would have to use it on Thursday which would require a change of plans!

We did not use our EMH and did not regret it. You can get a lot done at 8:00, especially with all of the MM people in the other park.

just remember that opening DCA at rope drop has no guarantee on Thursday that you will be ahead on RSR, all you are losing by not doing MM at Disneyland is Peter Pan, and being new, best to pass it up. And on Friday you can join the rope drop and still be ahead of the game in Disneyland. It is all about rope drop, even if it requires the hour wait, you still gain advantage at Disneyland, not so much at DCA.

If you're not doing hoppers, especially if you're doing a Wed-Fri trip, you're far better off as you are. Rope drop at DCA on Thursday is so much better than going there on W or F when the hotel guests have already been there for an hour, and definitely worth sacrificing EMH at DL for.

Thanks so much!! I am all ready for rope drop, my Grumpy dh, not so much, but we'll be on Central time zone, so shouldn't be too hard to get the gang moving we'll keep it as is!!

I agree. We have annual passes so we have no early entry except when we stay on sight. At Disneyland, you are much better doing rope drop on a non EMH day than doing EMH. So much less crowded and the crowds that are there disperse to the entire park and not just Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.

EMH ALWAYS WORTH IT FOR California Adventure Park for ONSITE HOTELS GUESTS ONLY !!! Disneyland not so much due to others with MM tickets!
