Is the DVC website down?

Yea, I just talked to Accounting and because our contracts are linked because 1 is in the process of closing (the buyers lost it to the mouse) I have to wait until it's closed. we also just closed on a contract that we're buying and wasn't going to plan anything until those points are loaded ,so it looks like a looooooooooonnnng wait.
 
I'm able to see my dashboard and check availability. But when I click on the details of available rooms where it opens the calendar, all the dates are grayed out with no points showing on the calendar and after a bit, the site crashes and goes to dwarves. It only seems to happen when I open that calendar view for any given availability query.

I definitely noticed that it's slow. In fact, it's the lengthy delay that seems to be triggering the dwarves in my case. It's like it times out and goes to the error screen because it's too slow in loading the page.
Almost two weeks later and I'm still consistently getting the dwarves every time I expand the calendars in my search results. The calendars don't display correctly (all blank/grayed out) and then after a few seconds... Dwarves.

Any thoughts on what's causing this?

It's not happening for me, right now.

If you haven't already, clear cache & cookies, close your browser and restart your device. If that doesn't work, try a different browser, a different device and/or an incognito window.

If none of that works, are you by chance somewhere in the process of buying or selling a contract? Have you checked your account to see if there are any issues with dues, or loan payments?

If none of that applies, you will have to call MS and ask the CM to transfer you to IT to request a fix. Be sure to get a ticket number.

Have you tried emptying your cache / cookies or doing an incognito window (if in Chrome/Edge) or private Window (if in Safari). If it works properly in an incognito or private window then it stores to a bad cookie or cache stored on your machine, which the first item I suggested would take care of.

ETA: I apparently missed Carol's post since we gave the same advice......

Thanks for the ideas. So, I tried experimenting with different things and it appears that the problem was my VPN. I temporarily disabled it and DVC website stopped behaving this way. I turned VPN back on and the problem returned. :confused3

Interesting. (And now you know). Thanks for reporting back.

Wonder if it has anything to do with how the VPN interacts with pop ups?

That has been my experience, as well. Can access dashboard and other information but the booking tool still indicates down for scheduled maintenance.
 
I'm curious if they actually messed something up or if they forgot to change a "flag" at the end of the maintenance period to allow for bookings again.....
 
As of 8:45 I can get in but that's about it. No dashboard, No plan a vacation. Just 7 dwarves.

I can get to my dashboard and I see my reservations. The only error I get is when trying to book or modify it throws up the Planned Maintenance message.

Oh yea. I just assumed(we all know how to spell that)since I couldn't make a ressie that I couldn't see anything else.
 
Interestingly it lets me go in and modify the people on the reservation (didn't try to go all the way through) but not look at new dates, etc. I really would not be surprised if somebody forgot to set the flag from closed to open or however you want to word it. As in close = down for maintenance and open = booking is available.
