Is the Double Dip only on the Dream?

I'm looking to cruise in April/May 2013. I know the rates and itineraries aren't out yet, but I've been messing around with 2012 dates online just to see what's out there.

No matter which month I pick, it seems as though the Double Dip is only available on the Dream. I ask this because the Dream looks like its a LOT more expensive than the other ships, and I wasn't looking to spend that much. A 5 night on the Dream pops up at around $4000 while a 5 night is $1800 on the other ship (forget which one).

Based on the fact that it seems like the majority of people don't like Nassau, I thought a double dip would be more fun.

Thanks!
Deb

For 2012, only the 5-Night cruises on the Dream make two stops at Castaway Cay. They replaced the Key West stop with a second stop at Castaway Cay.

5 night on the Dream does Castaway Cay twice and Nassau
5 night on the Magic does Key West, Nassau and one stop at Castaway Cay.

The Magic has historically done one double-dip in mid-November, since she can't stop at Key West that weekend due to a boat race, but outside of that one....

Well that kind of stinks. I didn't want to spend that much :(

Because the 2013 itineraries have not been announced yet, it is unclear what the Magic will be doing and even where it will be. If it is around the Bahamas and doing 5-night cruises, it is likely to have the same 5-night schedule as in 2012 with the Dream doing the double-dips, but it is also possible that the Magic will do something different -- anywhere from new Caribbean ports to being somewhere other than the Caribbean/Bahamas. So, if you don't like Nassau, you will have other options on the Wonder somewhere, but they probably won't be double dips.

The Dream can't dock at Key West, so CC is the alternative. The Magic has done double dips in the past....and no one knows what is in store for 2013~ we're all eagerly waiting. There are rumors, remarks at Castaway receptions, and some on line port schedules that give us some info, but it's still a "wait and see."

Keep in mind that the 2012 schedule has been out, and increasing in price for almost a year. I booked our 5 Night (June 10) Dream cruise the day booking opened. We got an 11C GTY, for 2A/1C, with onboard booking discount for less than $2400. I keep watching the price go up & up. My DH asked if we could Ebay the cruise to make some $$$. You definately pay a premium for the 5 night cruises, we are considering pushing our's back another year, and booking a 7 night on the Fantasy when the 2013 schedules open up.
