We are researching our first trip and looking into the Dining Plan. With 2 adults and 2 small kids (5 and 3) who are not big eaters, is this the thing to do? Also, can I buy 2 adults and 1 kid plan instead of the 2 kids?

If you are like my husband and I, and like to eat good while on vacation then YES, but if you don't care about food then who knows. Maybe not.

In my opinion it is definately worth it. You would have to put all family members on the plan.

:thumbsup2 we always to DDP..well worth it and includes tips..you have kids, they will love the character restaurents:thumbsup2

No one else has told you this yet but you must book the DDP for everyone over the age of 2 in the room, so you will not be able to get one kids plan if you have kids 3 and 5. However, I don't think the kids plan is too expensive so I would go for it anyway! If they really are not big eaters at all, and you think it would be too much food, consider having them split a CS for breakfast and another for lunch. This way, you get two meals out of one days worth of CS credits.
