Is the coffee still awful??

Don't forget to buy bottled water to use for making coffee. I always use tap water at home, but the tap water in Florida is abysmal! It will give an awful flavor to you coffee (tea, fountain soft drinks, koolaid, etc.). We ALWAYS buy gallons of water at Publix for making coffee and our park drinks (we usually stay off-site with a kitchenette or full kitchen).

What about the coffee that they provide in the resort rooms? That's not Nescafe, is it? That has to be brewed... right? :guilty:

Sorry to disappoint you, but it is indeed Nescafe.

Had coffee at the main street bakery in MK over Christmas. It was has bad as ever. I am not a coffee snob, and DON"T like Starbucks, but this stuff is just plain awful. We are DVC memebers and usually make coffee in the room before we leave.A bad cup of coffee at Disney, is better than a good cup at the office. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

This is so unbelievable! Does anybody at Disney read the comments found here? - Must not!

I was at WDW two years and complained about the lousy Nestle Nescafe coffee hoping that somebody would take note. It obviously didn't happen. What a shame!

Now, we will be there next week and I am sorry to hear that the coffee is still horrible! Has anybody ever heard of Starbuck's? Disney must have a forty year contract with Nestle to serve Nescafe - the world's #1 coffe in sales - and the world's #1 worst coffee! Wake up Disney AND Nestle!

The Swiss cannot understand why Americans do NOT like their idea for coffee. They will not believe it - so, they keep making deals to try and change our minds. Nestle: Won't work guys!

Meanwhile, why doesn't Disney listen to their customers? Old Walt is spinning in his grave!

So sad.

Funny, the coffee never really bothered me. But then again, I take it with alot of sweet n low and creamer (not milk). It does have its own particular flavor though. Although I still have my one cup in the morning. It's not Maxwell House 100% columbian, but it will do. 4 more days :Pinkbounc

My family has a running joke where we call it NesCr*pe. I case that's not clear, it rhymes with cafe but is more descriptive of how it tastes :)

Maybe my taste buds have been destroyed but i,ve had good and bad coffee at WDW. I have never had coffee so bad I had to pour it out. Maybe what I make for myself at home isn't any good.!

Just back, and yes, the coffee is still lousy. We stayed at Boardwalk Villas, so I made coffee in the room. DH usually buys coffee, even if I make it at home - for some reason he thinks coffee he buys somewhere always tastes better (and I actually make pretty good coffee at home). Anyway, I warned him - the first morning he didn't drink any of the coffee I made and said he would get a cup when we were at the park. I told him it was lousy, but did he listen...nooooo. Let's just say that after that first day, he drank the coffee I made before heading to the park!!!

Ok..quick question for you, is the coffee you get in World Showcase all Nescafe too or imported coffee from those countries... We had a decent cup of coffee in france with our pasteries, but lousy coffee in the American Pavilion earlier that same night.... :flower1:

IMHO To all those who require a decent cup of coffee--bring your own.
If your room doesn't have a coffeemaker, then bring one of those too, or ship it ahead along with your goodie box, or get one when you do your grocery stop. I've seen small ones on sale for $10.99! Less than the cost of renting one from Disney. Even less than one of those refillable mugs filled with horrible brown stuff!

I was at Chef Mickey's in December and had a delightful cup of coffee with my dessert. I was going to pass, but my server informed me that the coffee is now BREWED, not instant, although still a Nestle brand coffee. He said it had been changed about 3 months before when an executive dined at CR and complained about the horrible tasting dreck. It was the best coffee I'd had inside the World to date.

we just got back...had the pot of kenyan pressed coffee at Boma's...it was too strong for me, ...I liked their regular coffee. The kiosks at epcot i thought were good. I liked the coffee at brown derby. and was told they roast their own .
Loved the coffee at Kona Cafe at Poly.
