Is the BWV renovation still on?

I'm confused. I got a phone call a few weeks about about the BWV being renovated and Disney changing our ressie to BCV. My DH took the message and I didn't really pay it any attention since it looked like we were going to cancel anyway.

But now I think our plans are back on. I checked the website and we're still booked at BWV. Does this mean our ressie is safe? We have a BW studio book. I tried to call, but the office is closed (and I thought they were open 'til 7 on Thursdays? )

I don't mind getting put in BWV; I just don't want to be in SSR. I want to be in the Epcot area for F&W.

You are not going to see an actual change on the website of your reservation. If you were called and told you would instead be roomed at BCV, that is most likely going to happen. You should call and verify and if you want to cancel you need to do so and if not you should get something to show you are assured a room at BCV. The renovation which is, in fact, going on now at BWV is not scheduled to be completed until January 2010.

No. When I told them how unhappy I was losing my boardwalk view studio and being put at BCV, I was offered one night's worth of points as compensation. I considered that fair.

Hi Inkmahm, Sorry to hear the news as the BW veiws are awesome. May I ask how far in advance did the let you know as we will be there the 1st week of F&W

Would love to know when both of you are going and if both were BW view bookings.

I have pool/garden preferred booked for Aug 20 - Sep 4 and interested to hear if any of this is that period - might indicate they are working in another area from where we will be.

I have a BW view studio reserved for late October.

I didn't have a chance to call today, but I dropped MS an email asking for clarification on where I'm bookws. I haven't heard back yet.

I don't remember when they called me but it was at least a month ago. We are there October 22-27 and were to be in a studio Boardwalk view.

On June 8th i requested to be put on the wait list for BW view studio for marathon weekend in January 2010. Earlier this week we recieved confirmation that our ressies were switched from AKV to BWV. Were we lucky?

Congrats! We had a standard view facing out toward the Studios and so we could see the path coming along the canal real well... and could cheer on the runners.

I think they are behind on the renovations. When I was there in early June, they were still on the standard view rooms. No where near BW view locations or preferred for that matter. I would give them a call and see if you still need to be moved.

My dates are Oct. 18-24.

Maybe they're starting them on that following Sunday?
