Is the Brown Derby worth 2 DDP credits?

DS18 and I went for the F! dining package back in May...OOP

We just did NOT enjoy the food and I REALLY wanted to ! (and I TEND to look at things on the positive side but was so REALLY disappointed)

I'm hoping we just ordered wrong....OR perhaps it just was a bad day... but crazy as it sounds... I enjoyed the Taste of the food we've had at H&V over the past years BETTER than HBD.... go figure...

I WILL try it again.....would like to try the Imagineers lunch and I believe this is the only place to do so...

I love it - and the fact it is 2 credits keeps the crowds down. It make for a lovely meal and a quiet one. When I go next year, I plan to eat there on the plan.

You probably could just pay OOP, if you want to try it, and order apps and the Cobb (although the salad is big enough that you'll probably be too full to finish, if you order apps).

This is one place we ALWAYS have a meal at when at Disney! It is excellent!! Last April we celebrated our anniversary with a dinner there, and were surprised by the free champaign they brought out to us to toast our anniversary, and then the celebration cake for dessert, both of which were free and totally unexpected! Aside from the places at GF this is probably the best resturant at Disney for both food and stellar service!!

Sure ! We did the HBD F! Dining package ...which was right about $100 OOP for DS18 and I. It was a Fixed Dining plan... receive appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage....

DS18 LOVES sushi so he ordered the Tuna appy. I ended up eating it... it was my FAVORITE part of the meal....but I like this sort of thing. It was served in a wine type glass which was perched in another glass with blue ice in it... The blue ice was edible (as the server explained) and tasted like a cotton candy snowball...... I thought the Tuna was pretty good:

I was SURE I would LOVE this.... I LOVE Grapefruit ! But as previous posters have said... this used to be baked on site...and now is not... it tasted to me like it had been frozen and then de-frosted and not very tasty at all...

The more I eat at the two credit restaurants the more I don't think they should be more expensive than the regular restaurants. I agree that they may or may not be slightly better I personally think most restaurants in Disney have gone down in quality in the last few years. I have taken the DTD the last two trips and have visited every 2 credit restaurant except Citrico's. I just don't see why they charge that much. I can go within 5 miles from my house and get a much better steak, seafood, or related meal. This last trip less than a month ago, I was very disappointed in many of them. At one of the restaurants they stopped making my favorite dish because it was too expensive to make. It very well could be because of this bad world wide economy. Not sure, but its a shame. I think the DTD with the 20% tip isn't a good deal as it use to be.
