Thanks all for your input! I do realize it's subjective. We love waterparks and this will probably be a great once in a lifetime thing. And we would probably skip it if each of the other families weren't planning something. Last time we stayed on the ship and enjoyed it but our DD (10) will be so disappointed if everyone leaves us! Not that its the only reason to go. If it were just a little cheaper it would be a no brainer!
We did look at Comfort Suites but it really doesn't save much - we are going over spring break (unfortunately!). One more question - some people mentioned taking small coolers with water and snacks. What about adult beverages? I know we would love a margarita or sangria, and we will be buying premixed bottles of both for the cruise. Can we take that with us?
