Is the 30 day holding points cancellation rule still being waived?

As of today yes. IMO, I think they will leave it a bit longer until this whole park reservation system is up and running for a bit...or at least until 2020 ticket sales are back.

I used banked points and current year allotment points to book a vacation for Sept. 2020. The family wants to cancel due to all the closures at the parks. The banked points have to be used by Jan 31, 2021. Does anyone know if there are extensions given for the banked points or will I still have to use them by Jan 31, 2021? Will, any of these points (banked or current) be placed in holding?

i don’t think they will give extensions for banked points. The ones they gave extensions for....when the resorts were closed....weren’t that great to begin with.

No extension on points, but you should not have points out in holding right now.
