Is That a Firm "Maybe"? UPDATE 10/24 SURPRISES!

Great job with the planning!!!
I like having a TA help with the details. I agree it takes some pressure off.

Sorry for not updating sooner, but I worked a 5 night stretch, and DH flew to NY yesterday, so things have been busy around here.

ADR update: I woke up bright and early on Tuesday and was so excited to make all my ADRs. However, that excitement quickly disappeared when I found that many of the restaurants I wanted hadn't loaded tables for my dates. It was incredibly frustrating.

But the good news is that I was able to get all of my reservations with the exception of Garden Grill, Ohana, and Le Cellier. I've since been able to get LC, but the others STILL haven't loaded their tables. I was also able to make a BBB appointment for our big MK princess day before park opening! We're doing CRT for lunch that day, so I think that will be a very magical day for Avery.

I'm typing this from my iPhone, so I won't go into details on the other ADRs until DH gets back with our laptop. I'm calling daily for Ohana and GG.

So I've been calling each and every day, yet Ohana and Garden Grill still haven't loaded their tables. I'm begging to get a little perturbed. I'm trying to be chill about it, but I'm just not that chill.

On a more positive note, I've banked the past two paychecks from my boring retail job for the Disney fund. I'm also plugging away paying bills with my Southwest Visa, so we can use miles to purchase our flights. I'd like to do that as soon as possible. The Delta fares haven't budged at all. I can't even believe how much they want for those tickets. We would absolutely drive before we pay nearly $2K for the four of us (3 ticketed) to fly to Orlando.

So some of you might notice that I've replaced my ticker with a new one.

If not, you might want to check it out.

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Yep, #3 is on the way! It was a SURPRISE, as DH and I both agreed we were done. Oh well, things happen for a reason, so we're just going to go with it.

Unfortunately, I know that there is no way in the world we can swing a big family trip to WDW with a new little one on the way, so I had my TA cancel our trip. However, Ben and I are trying to wrangle a way for me to have a Mommy-Daughter trip with Avery during the specials being run in early 2013. I've already made a few ADRs for the end of February, so maybe it will work out.

One major issue not related to Disney is our move to France. I'm due June 23rd, and we're scheduled to move June 1st. Obviously that won't do, so we're looking to postpone it until January or June 2014. The NSF is willing to be flexible, but of course there's UIUC and his sponsors in France to consider, so we're waiting to hear from everyone before we make a final decision.

I still just can't really believe I'm going to have another one. I can't even imagine how difficult it's going to be. Carsyn is only 16 months old, and she's such a little pistol. She's also such a mommy's girl that I'm afraid of how she'll react. Avery will be thrilled, of course.

Just when you thought this TR was dead, I'm back to announce that it isn't!

We had a mini-windfall of sorts, so we've decided that a WDW trip IS possible. There's only one problem: when?

1. Spring break: I may have cancelled the package, but the discounts are still available. ADRs are still booked. Heck, I can even get us there on Southwest for free! There's a major con though, I'll be 26 weeks pregnant, and even now at 22 weeks, I can barely make it through the grocery store without having a rest. Considering Disney can make even elite athletes weary, I think this is an epically bad idea.

2. August: Ben doesn't go back to school until late in the month, but we'll have a newborn. That combined with the heat just doesn't seem feasible.

3. Thanksgiving week: This seems the most likely option, as Ben has the entire week off. Unfortunately, the potential crowds are giving me pause.

4. Mid-December: Finals at UIUC start on the 13th and end on the 20th. Depending on when Ben has to give his, we might be able to swing this. Ideally, his final would be nearer to the 13th, and we would be able to go soon after to avoid the dreaded Christmas crowds. Unfortunately, we won't likely know until the fall semester starts when his exam time would be.

5. January, just after NYD: We don't have to be in France until January 15th, so this gives us some time to play with.

Thoughts?

Wow, My head is spinning. The trip is on, now it isn't, we are moving to France, a new baby is coming, dates are changing. I am sure it will all work out and I look forward to seeing how. Congratulations on your new little one.

Mine too! I am not normally like this. I usually make plans and stick to them, but this year has been an exercise in flexibility. There seem to be curves everywhere!

I think some would say it is character building, that wouldn't be me though. I say HANG IN THERE, this too shall pass and you will have quite an adventure to tell!

Can I just say that three days before our originally scheduled departure, I am SO HAPPY that we cancelled this trip. I recently found out that I'm anemic (happens every pregnancy), and there is no way on Earth I could manage the parks in this condition. Not to mention, this baby is getting bigger every day, and I am friggin' huge.

OH, and I never mentioned it, but we found out on Feb. 12th that this will be DD#3. At least we're consistent!

Just wanted to let whomever is still around that I haven't forgotten about this PTR. I can't get DH to nail down a date, but I fully intend on booking something soon-ish.

Good lord things are busy around here! BUT I have news... We're actually going. For real. We have dates and everything, and I just paid our balance yesterday.

December 14-20...it'll be here before I know it. So much has been going on here that I refused to get excited over this trip in case it didn't happen, but it is definitely happening, so I need to get started planning. Fastpass+ is giving me absolute fits.
