I voted for Mission Space, as every time my family has gone on Test Track, it has broken down, usually leaving me and my 1 year-old DS waiting outside for my DH and DS(4) for 45 minutes or more!!!

My friends just got back from disney and said test track was a major bore compared to Mission Space. I only have a 1/2 day to spend at Epcot- should wait in line a while for this ride (if the Fastpasses are expired) or should I view MS and the other rides instead? Thanks guys! :earsgirl:

My advice, do both. Get there at opening and run to get Fastpass for one and wait in line for the other.

They are so different. They really cannot compare.

Everyone in my family except my 7 year old found test track slightly boring (except for the very end). Although it is worth doing, I would NEVER wait moe than 10 minutes for it. On the other hand, we just did Mission Space for the first time, and I, my husband AND my 7 year old daughter declared it to be one of the best attractions at WDW. My daughter and I also get car sick fairly easily, and didn't really have a problem on Mission Space (I just listened to their advice re looking straight ahead, and didn't even feel queasy afterwards).

Our advice: Mission Space. It's so different than almost everything else there, and very well done.

...but I can't do simulator rides like Mission Space. When we were there last week, the Test Track fast passes ran out pretty early in the day both days we were there, so get that fast pass first. Later in the day there was only a 5 minute wait for Mission Space both days.

Test track is my favorite ride in all of WDW!!! I love the test simulations and as the other posters have said, the last few seconds of the ride are fun!!! I also like looking at the GM-made cars in the showcase after the ride. I am a car-chick, so TT totally gets my vote!

i totally agree with beattyfamily - if you get there at park opening, even if you only plan to say unitl noon so, you should be able to do both. haul butt at opening to one or the other, grab fast pass. haul butt to the other and if you are alone or your party can deal with breaking up, get in the single rider line. You could do both with no problem. (and even a few more other things)

good luck and have a great time

I rode TT for the first time last month, it is now one of my top favorite rides in all of WDW!! It was so much fun! I didn't do MS, I get motion sickness easily. I still might do it though... Dh did it and loved it though! I would do both if you can. I do think TT is worth a wait, although we just used FP's. :teeth:

There are signs all around Mission Space about how the motion might make some people sick....and I thought, not me, that will never happen....let's just say that I'm glad I'd had breakfast a few hours earlier and there was nothing in my stomach. What a wuss...but I'd go back!! What a glutton for punishment!

I looked forward to Test Track. Got the fast pass and went through the line. Got on the car and then had the worst ride. The car stopped in the heat lamp area for almost a minute...we were getting pretty warm. It would start again and then slow to barely crawling, and then stop. When we were suppose to be going REALLY fast, we were just inching along. At the end of the ride we said how bad the ride was to the CM and asked for a do-over. She said no, we'd have to get back in line. When I asked why we stopped, the CM said they had to stop all of the cars to let a handicapped person on and off. They keep the cars spaced out and if it takes a while to get someone on or off, they have to stop the ride. I wasn't mad, just disappointed.

We tried later in the day to get another fast pass but they had already gone through their allottment. There was a 2 hour wait if you didn't have a fast pass and I wasn't going to put my kids through that!

If you can only do one I'd do Mission Space.
Even the building and waiting in line is interesting.

You can do Test Track yourself!
Find a friend with a Jeep and ask him/her to take the top off and go for a 3 minute ride.
Drive fast (45 miles per hour- the max speed you travel on test track) and make a few fast turns and go over a few bumps.
And then go to a car dealer and walk around the showroom.

There, you've just done Test Track!
And I'm not joking.
That's pretty much it.
IMHO.
:sad2:

TT is a really fun ride but I would never wait more than 30 minutes for it. And 30 minutes is usually how long we wait WITH fastpass! The standby line is never any shorter than an hour when we go so we get FP and have a much shorter wait. I've never been to WDW during one of the "less crowded" seasons but I'll be working there as a CM for the college program from August through early January so it should be interesting to see the way the crowds change.

If I could, I would vote for both. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to do both in half a day! :)

Sounds good! I'll definitely try both, doing the single rider line and fastpass. Can't wait to try them out for myself- last time we went to epcot it was the 25th anniversary and both rides weren't open yet.

I know they might do a soft opening of soarin when im there (end of april), so maybe I'll get lucky enough to see that too!

Test Track all the way. I was timid about Mission Space and should have trusted my instincts (instead of all the people in line!) Any ride that comes with barf bags scares me. I was sick for about an hour afterwards. Not actually sick, just nauseous

both rides are good. i personally like mission space, where else could you get the feeling of weightlessness without actually traveling above the earth's crust? the outside track on test track is basically like travelling on the highway in a convertible. in general, both are good fun, why not get those fast pass things? then you could do both!

Don't know about Mission but everyone in my family just loves Test Track. Use Fastpass if you can to cut down on your wait.

Mission Space was really neat, but I think Test Track was more fun. They are definitely very different experiences.

my DH and I were glad we did MS once - the feeling of liftoff was amazing but I found the whole thing rather boring (I know some people will think I am nuts) we love TT - especially the end

although listen to the warnings in Misison Space - if you get sick easily or are claustrophobic - I can see where it would be disconcerting!!

Get a fast pass for MS and then single ride TT. You should be able to do both no problem...

But if you can do just one and love thrill rides, MS is pretty freakin' awesome.
