We are taking my 3yr old mickey lover to disney for the 1st time in April . I have heard horror stories of crazy long wait times to see mickey @ Town Square Theater. We should arrive @ MK around 6:30pm on a sunday.

We are doing a few character breakfasts during our trip so he will get a few chances to see mickey & friends

We went about the same time you are planning on going last month. 10 min wait for us. He was very interactive and it was cool that he would talk to the kids.

I definitely think so. It's one thing to see Mickey, but totally another to see and "talk with him" in person. Our kids really loved that experience. We have taken our young kids there, and they were already in awe at seeing characters...but totally loved talking with him in person. Really seemed to make the interaction a bit more magical. :)

The first time we saw him, we had a FP+, and it was more for our (at the time) 9 month old daughter. It was the highlight of our entire trip. He spent close to 10 minutes with her, just interacting, playing peek-a-boo with her, and such. We were the only ones in the room, which made is so magical for us. Granted, this was in the morning, but I think getting a FP+ will definitely help. The line can get pretty long, but there are times where you can walk right through (such as a parade time, or fireworks). I definitely think it's worth it. Seeing kids faces light up when Mickey actually talks to them is pretty awesome. :)

We really enjoyed it, but wouldn't do it without a FP. Try to get it as a 4th FP on one of your days there. I don't consider it worth one of your prescheduled FPs.

Talking Mickey was GREAT! Definitely one the best character interactions we had. 4.5 year old and 2.5 old couldn't stop taking about Mickey and how they got to play with him! We went Presidents' Day (very high crowd levels) and only waited 10 min. Just watch the wait times in MDE as it was a bit higher at some points in the day. I think the longest I saw was 30 min. I think him being at the front of the park, a lot of people forget to go back as the day progresses.

We loved the talking Mickey! And we imitate his words of "Hey, you are here!" at home.

During day time, you need a FP+ to see him for sure.
At late night, the wait is minimal or non-exist. We were there during March Break, and DD wanted to say goodbye to Mickey as we leave MK at mid-night. The posted wait time is 0. So, we went in to the empty line and they actually need us to wait a bit, in order to have Mickey get ready. There is no one before and after us. It was amazing. We plan to do it again this year!!

He is super magical! We went in between the MSEP and Wishes while DH hung out in our spot. It was a great way to fill the time and the wait was only 10-15 minutes. If you watch the app, you can catch him with a pretty minimal wait, even during the summer when we were there.

We rope dropped him last Feb over presidents week. The girls, 1 and 5 loved it! I was amazed by the interaction and thought the tech was amazing. We have it in our schedule for our trip coming up in March. We can't wait :)

From an adult only party perspective I think it is an awesome experience. I was a little skeptical about what it would be like, but it is really fun. The first time wasn't the greatest - just an average greeting, but it was worth it to see how happy my grandma was (she got a little teary eyed). The second time on our next trip was so fun...Mickey wanted to show me a magic trick - SUPER FUN! It was nice that we spent a good 5 minutes with Mickey as a group of 3 adults. Both times we have seen him have been busy times (December 27 and July), but we didn't wait more than 15 minutes without FP+.

Just some advice since your son is little, I've heard there are sometimes occasions where Mickey has "lost his voice" and isn't talking. You might not want to go in with your son expecting him to talk just in case this would happen so he isn't disappointed! ENJOY YOUR TRIP! :rainbow:

We went during the afternoon parade (which we'd seen on another day at MK), and there was literally nobody there. Saw Tink and Mickey both in under 20 minutes.

Great ! Thanks everyone, i dont plan on telling my crowd he can talk, hopefully they will be surprised ! We will be @ MK for 2 days so hopefully we can find a spot for a fast pass or low wait time !

Is his talking more reliable now? We saw him 2 years ago and he didn't say a word. No way I'd wait in that line or burn a FP only to find out he had lost his voice for the day.

We saw him and Tink, over President's Day weekend. We went around 5-5:30. We went to Tink first, it said she had a 20 min wait. Then over to Mickey, the posted wait was 30 minutes. And looking back at the time stamp on my photo pass, it looks like that was about right.

This was our first time seeing the talking Mickey and it was AWESOME! I'm still trying to figure out how they do it. I tried to get video of it, and got all giddy and wound up videoing the floor instead of our 2 year old. Whoops!

But yes, IMO totally worth the wait! He even spoke Spanish to the group ahead of us. Disney magic!
