Just wondering if the summer is a good time to visit Vero beach. I've noticed that they have more availability than HHI and it's only dream season during the summer. I was curious as to whether this meant it is not a good time to go.

It's really really hot. If you want hot, it's a good time to go. It's also hurricane season, if you are concerned about that (I personally would not be).

If you like the beach in the summer, can beat DVC Vero Beach for a vacation. Great resort and an awesome town.:cool1::banana:

It is not peak time because the area has always been more visited in the non summer months of late winter and early spring. Southern Floridia is a heavily visited area during the winter by snowbirds.

HHI, on the other hand is one of the most visited areas during the summer by repeat family vacationers.

We love Vero year round but it is indeed hot. But a hot hot day at the beach is not as hot as it is inland due to the ocean breezes.

Went to Vero this June for three days. It was wonderful! It was turtle nesting season which was awesome. Only complaint, although not really a complaint from me, is that it was HOT! The ocean was a nice relief, but the pool was like jumping into a warm bathtub. We walked the beach for a long way and did not see any other people once we left the area in front of Disney. I would definitely go back in the summer and plan to in the future. If you are not a fan of the heat, I would suggest you try another time of year. Hope this helps!
