Is Stitch’s Great Escape Closed Permanently

I know it was under temporary or seasonal closure but do we know if they have plans to open it again? We have never ridden it because of the bad reviews and said this was the year we were going to give it a try.

Yep closed forever. We were in the minority who thought it was okay. Not a favorite, but also not as bad as most say. Sorry you didn't get to do it at least once.

Sigh 4 previous trips daughter and I rode it 8 times. I for one will miss it. To me the trip started with that obnoxious burp.

Yes the attraction is closed for good.
I am sure it will be reimaged and open as something else in the future.
You should have given it a try. I find it incredibly stupid that people don't at least TRY things that they want to try just because of negative reviews.
Was it as amazing as Alien Encounter? NO WAY. But it wasn't horrible either.

Alien Encounter was AWESOME. The Stitch version was an abomination, and an insult to everything cool that had come before it. (And yes, I even include Mission to Mars in this blanket statement) I went on it once about 6 years ago. NEVER AGAIN.

You didn't miss anything. It was, hands-down, the worst attraction WDW has had in the timeframe I have been going there as an adult (last ~15 years)

It was a lazy 'remodel' of the also-terrible "Alien Encounter" - which at least was supposed to be scary and unpleasant? I'm not a huge Lilo & Stitch fan, but he (it?) deserves something better than that dumpster fire.

Someone above said 'it was something to do' - I hope that was an example of 'damning with faint praise.' I would rather go walk laps around the parking lot.

I did the M&G at the former ride location at the beginning of March. I waited in line maybe 15-20 mins. There is no FP for the M&G.

Rode it for the last time in December. Have to say I’m glad it’s closing and will be happy to see it replaced with SOMETHING. However, I’ll be disappointed if they don’t do something with it soon and just let that space go to waste

Hi! My very first post/response as I just found this board as I'm planning our first trip, yay!

So, this ride is permanently closed and replaced with a Stitch M&G?! Now I'm thinking I can switch out my Ohana breakfast for dinner and then get Chef Mickey's for breakfast, which looked better to me anyway. My daughter wants to see Stitch, so I may have to confirm with her if she's willing to do this. I can take this ride out of my plans now though. I wish they would take it out of the Disney information if they are not re-opening it.

Is everyone sure about that? Originally it came out in December that it was closing permanently but wdwnt updated in January that Disney changed course and is leaving it as seasonal.
