Is starting at DCA better?

So I’ve been hearing that DL is opening like normal now but DCA is still letting people on rides early. I’m assuming DCA will open like normal soon, especially when the parks “open” at 8 in July? We’ll be there 5 days at the end of July and we have reservations to start at DL 3 days and DCA 2 days (we have park hoppers) but I’m debating starting at DCA more often if we’ll get a little more morning park time, but then we might not. Thoughts?

Things are moving and changing so rapidly, I doubt anyone could give you a firm answer. I'll be there in 6 days and have no idea what the opening procedure will be like then, much less over a month from now.

The parks still have capacity restrictions and Disneyland hits capacity far more often than DCA so you'll be taking a bigger risk of being blocked from hopping if you start at DCA. Another factor to consider is how much you care about Web Slingers vs Rise of the Resistance. You can only do the 7AM attempt at the park you start at.

The crowd and opening situation is so inconsistent that it's hard to predict anything else.

I didn’t realize that was the case. Have lots of people not been able to park hop to DL?

It only happened one day that I know of. Now that there aren’t hard “capacity” limits from an outside source, I’d be surprised if they didn’t let people hop…

I never think starting at DCA is better unless you want to ride Radiator Springs.
