I'm curious why people don't celebrate other heritages like they do (being Irish) St. Patty's Day. Does it have something to do with the religious aspects of Ireland?
I work in a Catholic school and we celebrate it as a religious day. We will all wear green to Mass tomorrow. The students at our school learn about how St. Patrick and how he helped evangelize Ireland. Not many kids that go to our school are Irish, except mine. But all of them (should) know that Saint Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland.
