Is Splash Mountain open in Dec?

I'm off to Disneyland on Nov 29 for 5 days, will Splash Mountain be open during this time?

Was my absolute favourite ride in WDW so I can't wait for it!

Generally, most rides are open during Decemeber because that's the Christmas season with crowds really ramping up during the month. Usually, Splash goes down in January or so for it's annual rehab. Now, the caveat to all this is no one knows for sure what will be down and when, especially this year when all of the rehab schedules have been rather unpredictable. Still, if I was betting person, I would guess Spalsh will be running in December.

Other than possibly a random breakdown, I can't imagine they'd close it for a refurb in December. It's one of our favorites too.

I was looking at past closures in December. The only things that ever seemed to be down then were things undergoing major refurbs (the type that takes multiple months). Most years it's nothing. So the odds are good it will be open. We're going in December too, and really hoping splash will be open since it was closed when we were at WDW this past January and dd was heartbroken.

The water rides don't close for winter, since it's still warm in SoCal (just like in Orlando.) Do be prepared that Splash is different in Anaheim. It was "plussed" for Orlando, so it isn't as elaborate (i.e. narrow logs, faster ride through the mountain while concentrating less on telling the story, and last year at least was in much worse shape than WDW's version. Still a fun ride, though. (I think Anaheim's has the better drop, too.)
