I have never had so much trouble booking airfare for a trip!

Southwest released dates through June real early, now best price I see for my early May trip is $144 each way (totally ridiculous) -- I know airfare is going up, but I flew Southwest early May 2005 for $148 R/T! Granted I got a great deal, but I know I didn't book it this early last year and I certainly don't want to pay double what I did just last year!

So is there any chance of lower fares still coming out...A spring sale? Or is $144 IT .... if it is IT, I'll go ahead and book with another airline
(also high, but actually a bit cheaper than SW and is a direct flight)

I just don't know what to do!!!!!!! :confused3
(as if I am the only one who has ever been in this dilema! :rotfl: )

I booked SWA late last week for May 15-26. Originally the fare was running about $230 RT from Philly (when May opened up). Last week the internet special fare dropped to $79 each way and I booked it. If the fare goes any cheaper ($49), I'll re-book and take the credit.
I'd wait and hope that they run one of their specials. They have one now that is good for flights through the end of January and had to be booked by tonight (Jan. 2). Flights from Philly were $69 each way.
