Is seating for 2 more difficult?

I have a friend who just celebrated his honeymoon at Walt Disney World in November. They were on the Gold Plan and ate at a lot of restaurants. He told me that they had a few occasions where he and his wife would arrive for their PS and wait and wait and wait for a long time...sometimes an hour or more. All the while they were waiting, they saw familes go in to the restaurant who did not even have a PS at all, and get seated with 10 minutes. The two of them were pretty frustrated at that and inquired about it, and were told that they were waiting for a two-person table to clear up before seating them.

Does this kind of thing happen often for a couple? I am going with my boyfriend to WDW this May and I'd hate to go to all the trouble to make PSs only to have to wait an hour for a two-person table to open up.

Any other couples have this trouble?

Nope, we've often been seated at a four top with just the two of us.

it is usually just my husband and me and we have never had any problem.

We've never had a problem. Sometimes we've been seated at tables for two, and other times it was at tables for four.

We never had a problem having to wait. However, we found that most of the tables for two were shoved up against a pole or so close to another table we felt that we all together. Plus, the servers seemed to blow us off a lot. I found that being a party of two was great in the parks and on the rides...got to jump ahead a few times to "fill in" boats, cars, etc. but was a hinderance in the restaraunts.

My DH and I went to WDW alone in May, I don't remember having to wait an extra long time for a table.

Another "never been a problem" response. We've had to wait on occasion, but only in isolated cases (such as California Grill at 8:00 on a Saturday night).

I've been twice with just two people and several times with four people. I've been at the same times of year with both two and four people, with about the same crowd levels for both. I found that the wait for two people was generally quite a bit shorter than it was for four people.

We haven't had many problems. The one problem that I can think of, is that after we checked in, they kept shuffling our card down the queue and I noticed that people that arrived after us were being seated while we weren't. I talked to one of the hostesses and we were seated next.

If I had made a PS for a certain time and then was made to wait for more than 30 minutes after the stated time, I would be speaking to someone (especially since they request you to show up 15 minutes early.) If I saw them seating 4 tops that didn't have PS's I would insist that they sit us at the next available 2 or 4 top since we did have PS's

Never had a problem with just the two of us. Generally we have found the opposite to be true and have been seated more quickly.

Seems like it's easier to GET a PS with just two! I was able to get a PS for PSB last week for next week - CM said it was because we were two, tables for 4 had been booked for a long time - Fantasmic dnner package. We'll see when we get there if DS & I get seated in a timely fashion. Looking forward to seeing!
